Excellent food, good service, the best asian restaurant downtown. It is not for the locals, more for the tourists, but you won't be dissapointed. We recommend

Every year we come to the Opera in Budapest (we're doing Wagner's Ring Cycle) and every year we then rush around the block to make sure we can eat in Rickshaw's. We think we know our asian food well - we eat out in our favourite Bristol Thai restaurtant (Bauhinia) once a week for the past few years - and... More

We had a wonderful experience in this restaurant staying in the Corinthia Hotel. Lovely appetizer, advised starter was very good to share. Duck and crispy beef excellent! Ambience is cosy and as through the whole hotel they paid attention to every detail. Beautiful wallpaper combined with great paintings, really well decorated!

Sorry to say this is one of the worst meals I've eaten out. Awful prawn crackers with peanut sauce, battered chewy prawn, Szechuan beef that was covered in a pale, bisto like gravy. The most unimaginative, poorly flavoured food. With four glasses of (very good) Hungarian wine, total bill for two was £100.

The decor was nice, service very good, food was good however the sauces weren't quite right as we had sweet and sour with duck and peanut dip with crackers. Overall nice time but was expensive. Water, one starter and 2 mains come to just under £50.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
