Excellent food and service. 10 persons and all food was good. Local beers and good variety of wines.

For a quick meal I would rate Culinaris as a good place, nothing fancy but good service and the food is quite nice but don't expect a culinary feast.

I like Cuinaris as a shop athough it is expensive ..I fancied an English breakfast...Eggs, bacon, beans, sausage ..What a disappointment but one has to remember this is not England I suppose.......The one egg must have come from the smallest of the small hens...The beans contained in the tiniest of pots..The bacon and sausage just miserly...No butter with the white... the 'fresh' orange juice was certainly not fresh. When we enquired about it they didn't say anything other than it's fresh and 'i don't know'. We didn't drink it, but they still charged. Avocado was chopped up in cubes, never seen that before - completely impractical. Eggs were so basically raw. the omelet had no texture or flavour. Such a... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch, and whilst everything was very nice we all found it a bit expensive for Budapest. My soup was delicious, but I was particularly disappointed with the cakes/bakes on offer.

Culinaris is offering a very cosy and a very friendly place either for breakfast or branch ! Although you don't have the appropriate space you will ask for in order to sit on a normal table (you might have to share your table with a couple next to you) the general feeling of the place is very warm and nice... Lovely little cafe with polite and friendly staff. Good selection of breakfast options for a very reasonable price. Great latte!

I shop here once in a while to source a few foodstuffs not generally available at local supermarkets. e.g. French yogurt and goats cheese and Orangina. Prices are reasonable but not for everything. Try the locally made cheese bread sticks in the bakery section - cannot miss them - they are nearly a metre long - go well with beer.... More

Good venue, nice staff and tasty local beer. Pasta was very good; nice spicy sausage soup; great Waldorf salad and good cheese board.

This is a wonderful store. It is one of the only places in Hungary that understands customer service and works hard to deliver a nice shopping experience.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
