We had a great diner at the Café Intenzo. The menu offered international and traditional Hungarian food. We ate Hungarian dishes; Budapest steak, pork medaillons (with paprika's) and desserts. Delicious! The wine we drank was good aswell. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great diner!

I chosed here, because of its good ranking in TripAdvisor. However I see now that hungry and tired tourists just see some cafes in central locations, just go in, get easily satisfied and write good comments in tripadvisor. Someone wrote here that she ate the best chicken ever. I wonder what kind of disgusting chicken she has to eat in... More

Dear Can Ö! I am really sorry for your bad experience in our restaurant - Cafe Intenzo. Mostly people like us, thats why they rate this restaurant. The card machine went wrong Sunday evening, that was the reason we could not except credit cards, not because we wanted to make some tricks on You. As soon as it went wrong... More

Lovely garden out the back. Plus seating out the front on the street and obviously inside. We didn't need food just a beer and they had a nice selection on tap. Service was quick, polite and friendly. Tip is automatically added to the bill as seems to be the norm in Budapest. Would've visited for food if we had more... More

Whilst in the airport waiting for our flight to Budapest I realised I hadn't organised lunch for 13 ladies on a Hen party! I sent this cafe a facebook message, they responded very quickly and were happy to oblige. They even saved our table as our flight was delayed! It turned out to be a fantastic find. The cafe itself... More

This place was recommended to us on our first day in Budapest. I was glad we went there being a bit overwhelmed with a new city and feeling a bit lost. The food was really good, the service good as well and the menu being in English a relief. The rolled pork loin with asparagus and cheese was very tasty... More

Having just arrived in Budapest and looking for somewhere to eat, we came across this Cafe by accident. (Don't be put off by the location i.e. close to a major junction and Metro).Staff friendly, attentive and willing to help. Food excellent, would recommend the Goose livers.

For our last meal in Budapest, we got lucky. Cafe Intenzo was a real treat. The staff was attentive, warm and professional. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the special, pork medallions stuffed with asparagus and cheese. It was too cold to sit in the outside courtyard, but next time...

They look after the solo traveller so well. Great Hungarian wines on offer. Food is astonishing - in the UK you'd pay top whack for what they do. Beautiful and tranquil courtyard garden. Staff very kind and helpful. Will be back next time I'm in Budapest!

On our first day in Bucharest we were looking for a place for lunch and found Cafe Intenzo on TA. It was busy but they found us a table for 6. The service was excellent and the waiters all spoke good English. We all really enjoyed the food, the beer and the wine.
