The best cakes we have ever tried! Absolutely a must visit and try! CAkes are unique, soft, not to much sugar. Service is great!
We know Auguszt and we know what we can expect: stylish and plaisant interiour and nice cakes. Last time we were unlucky to enter the place 22 minutes before closing. We ordered capuccino, icecream a cake and a bottle of water. My husband did not...get water to capuccino, I did not get my bottle of water and a napkin. The young ladies were too busy cleaning up. We left ten minutes befor closing because we felt we were in their way. An ather day we went to Hauer very late, there was an enterely other experience.More
The service was excellent and helpful. My girlfriend had several questions about the pastries and we got all the answers we needed. The texture and the taste in the pastries were amazing. Coffee was also extremely good.
Good cakes, good coffee, extremely good customer service. They adviced us which activities in the city to choose at rhe rainy weather
We found the cakes on offer were very limited with poor variety and the ones we ordered were not fresh and felt dry. They either have the fridges on too high which makes them too cold and tasting dry, or they were not fresh on...the day when we were there. The seating is not comfortable, and the coffee house could do with a makeover to lift the décor and improve the seating. There are more beautiful and impressive coffee houses in Budapest that offer better selection of cakes and comfort.More
Just ask them to provide breakfast! This is great. A really traditional quiches, pastry rolls and other things .really nice. Have coffee too. When you have had that start on the cakes, they are just amazing There are some interesting little shops behind too. Really...enjoyed this!More
This is a little gem of a place to get coffee and some of the best cakes in the world. What a selection. I had the lemon mousse cake with lavender and orange on a cake base. The coffee, latte and my partner had latte...with honey, was as gorgeous as the cake. Go there!More
Good stop during the day for cake and coffee, the cake were assume. The coffee was hot. Great place for a breakdown during the city tour
The new or remodelled Auguszt in down town Budapest has a peaceful, refined, classic atmosphere that I still cherish. It has a wonderful patio view as well, towards the old Augszt coffe house, since it is still in the same building. It also has another...view towards a busy Budapest street. Take your pick. I dont know if the owners are the same or not, but gone are their most beautiful antiques and wall rugs, which made it such a warm and unique place to have coffee, tea and pastries, in the not too long ago past. In this new venue. the decoration is still very nice, the service is great, very amicable, and their (expensive) coffee is very good. All served in their own signature porcelain. I cannot say the same about the quality of their current pastries and cakes. Definitely not as tasty nor fresh as before. I would not dine here, just have coffee and pastries. In fact I was not even aware that this place was ever a restaurant at all... maybe that is part of the present changes.More
We stopped off here before climbing Gellert. We had a Dobos Torte and Hazelnut Roulade along wit a cup of tea and it went down a treat. Good staff and great cake.
Nice place to relax and take a coffee before seeing a film at the Pushkin Mozi. Lovely tortes, not so good coffee
I had seen this restaurant in a baking magazine and knew I wanted to go there! They have an amazing Dobos Torte and their hot chocolate was excellent too. Service was also very good!
Popped in, to use the loo, and stayed for cake and coffee. A fabulous place with great history. Cakes were lovely and they had gluten free! Also unique shopping experience in courtyard behind. A women co-op who make all sorts
One of oldest bakery/ cafe in Pest. Great assortment of desserts. Ischler cookie is delicious. Of course, coffee is excellent
