Words cant describe this. Awesome kitchen and stuff. Yes its expensive, but its absolutely worth the money if you like fine dining. I would come back here definitely. From start to finish they just spoil you. Go here, dont hesitate. Take the 6 courses and get ready to be blown away.

It's a Michelin 1 star restaurant with the expected level of finesse. It only offers 2 "set menus". We chose the smaller 6 course Hungarian option which gave delicate tastes of the regular hearty fare. The optional wine flight added unusual Hungarian wines in a great complement

After arriving late in Budapest we dropped our bags in our room and headed over to Onyx. A short walk from our hotel, in a convenient downtown location, the decor was modern elegant and the service impeccable. We did the 8 course Chef tasting menu with wines and discovered the really delicious wines of Hungary. The dishes were small in... More

This is our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. 2 years ago we looked for a good restaurant close to our hotel for dinner and it was fantastic. This time we reserved a table for lunch and we're not disappointed. The place is befitting a Michelin star restaurant and the tasting menu was creative, the food was prepared to perfection... More

Hungarian cuisine with a modern twist in an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere - we enjoyed every single dish. I especially recommend the desserts - very creative and tasty.

On our trip to Budapest myself and my boyfriend decided we had to go to one of the 4 Michelin star restaurants. Onyx was the last one we called and the only one we could get a booking for. We went for lunch, and opted for the four course lunch menu with the wine pairing. The decor is very beautiful... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
