Well located, near the Danube river, very nice view specially in the sunset. Drinking a glass of wine, listening the musicians alive and eating very well prepared food. Good moments we want to repete!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere. Good music & very cozy place! And of course the food was absolutely phenomenal. I would definitely recommend getting one of the traditional Bavarian dishes. "The original" was fantastic. And what my gf got was also very good. I think it was something with chili. 100% recommend this place!

Situated on the banks of the Danube a meal is a true experience. A good range of Hungarian dishes and a nice selection of wines. Go enjoy the food and the superb music from Padar Lajos and his Hungarian band.

6 of us went there and had an amazing lunch there. Everybody was very satisfied with the quality, quantity and the taste of the food. Highly recommended. It is pricey but everything is in Budapest when you are in a tourist area. ;-)

We came here for dinner and found the restaurant to be attractive, the service very good, and the food excellent. The old world charm of the restaurant added to our enjoyment of the place along with the live trio playing music. Even though we were here at the end of December, we enjoyed the view and watching people pass by,

Food was very average. Greasy and not tasty! I would not recommend the place at all... They need to hire a proper chef!

Best goulash we had all week. Also had a great mushroom risotto. They have a trio that plays fun music too. They're also open late - nice feature!

I had a very enjoyable evening dining at Dunacorso. The view is very nice and service great. There was a strolling band which added to my enjoyment. The food and service were both excellent and I would recommend.

Dunacorso, a traditional Budapest Restaurant, located along the Danube river-walk and overviewing the Castele Hill, becoma well known by both locals and foreign visitors. Ist kitchen offers the very tratditional Hungarian cusine, goose liver, paprika chicken, goulash, and cabbage rolls. Recommended for an enjoyable lunch or dinner viewing the traffic on the Danube river accompanied by a gypsy ordchestra.

Description
Our restaurant is located in the heart of the city centre, on Vigadó Square, looking on Duna-korzó. This wonderful walking path along the Danube on the Pest side has always been a favourite meeting and walking place for people and there has always been a coffe-house or a restaurant on the site of our venue ever since the 1870's. Duna Corso restaurant is run by the same family for more than 40 years. Now it is already the third generation working here, thinking over and recreating traditional recipes. The nostalgic old and the reformed new tastes of Hungarian cuisine combined with our own gastronomic traditions determine the selection on the menu. From early spring till late autumn we welcome our guests on one of the most wonderful, panoramic terraces whereas during winter time we await them with our classic and modern rooms. In the evenings the culinary experience is completed by live music. In 2015 we added a confectionary to our restaurant. We offer freshly made cakes and homemade ice-cream every day.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
