Tourist trap? Yes! But so are every restaurant in the old town of Ljubljana. So get over it and enjoy the good food , wine and the lovely atmosphere!

We ended up in the Valvas'or looking for a fairly light dinner after a lunchtime food tour. The pasta and desert were excellent, and the service couldn't have been better. Decent house wine, and a lovely complimentary desert wine to finish off. Highly recommended.

the "Refosk", a Slovenian indigenous red wine really made it for us, specially when combined with the excellent lamb chops they served today. It's a place for quality food and swift, friendly, competent service; (which was responsible for the Refosk recommendation).
