Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I personally think this is a tourist trap, if you want authentic polish cuisine do not go here! I went with my (polish) mom and my sister my mom got Żurek, my sister Pierogi with strawberries and I got Pierogi Ruskie. My mom said that...the soup was really bad and she couldn’t even finish it. My Pierogis were probably the worst Pierogis I’ve ever eaten they were waaaaay too crispy. My sister also didn’t finish her food and she even found a hair inside. 😀 I think this place has so many (good) reviews because tourists go there without knowing what authentic polish food tastes like. Anyways I think that the food looked good it was just the taste that wasn’t it also service was really good and the servers were very nice! Still I would recommend finding something more authentic. :)More

I was just robbed for PLN 24 for a sauce I didn't order and didn't touch. The "Manager", quite poor in managerial skills, the only thing he suggested was to call the police. The waitress kept her sassy attitude until the end. I advise against...it.More

Restauracja Zapiecek offers a delightful immersion into authentic Polish cuisine, serving dishes that are both heartwarming and exceptionally flavorful. The pierogi, a staple of Polish kitchen, are a must-try here, perfectly cooked with a variety of fillings that cater to all tastes. The cozy and...traditionally decorated ambiance of the restaurant enhances the dining experience, making you feel as if you're dining in a Polish home. The staff's friendly and attentive service, along with their knowledge of the menu, adds a personal touch that makes the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Restauracja Zapiecek is a gem for anyone seeking to experience the true essence of Polish culinary traditionsMore

Large menu…so many pierogis. Sweet as well as savory. Not sure about indoors but outside seating is easily 50-60 seats. Covered and always shaded. Many tourists, Dont know from locals. I ordered meat and sauerkraut pirogies…fried.

We were originally going to try a restaurant opposite this location, as we saw an item of food advertised that we wanted to try - we asked this establishment if they were the same and told us no and directed us to a competitor that...lacked any staff welcoming anyone - therefore as we found the staff here to be helpful, decided to eat here instead. We had Polish Golash which was served with a pancake, which although was different take on the Hungarian version, it was a meal that you will not forget. Unfortunately, it was so appealing and tasteful, eating it all meant no room for pudding. Reasonably priced, staff were helpful and polite. Would recommend a visit and would return again.More

The food was pretty good, although not exceptional. Nothing to complain about and nothing to really remember. Service was nice, although not super efficient, prices quite reasonable. No problem

Stopped in for dinner tonight since our son had told us about this place. Apparetly, it's a chain, but you'd never know it. Small, neat place with a library theme to it. Lots of good things to choose from. The have both boiled and pan...fried pierogies as individuals, pre set combinations or mix and match your own. We made our own assortment of pototoe, potatoe & cheese, turkey, spinache and feta and mushrooms. All were really good pan fried. We split the apple pie for dessert, which wasn't bad. The server was pretty friendly, didn't auction off the food and checked back once to see if we were OK. The prices are not bad for what you get; we each had 9 pierogies, the dessert, a beer and two sodas, all for under $40 USD, including the 31% tax. We definitely want to go back and try some of their other entrees.More

Not recomment for just English speaking people. The waiter did not speak English at all and just ignored our order, bringing what she was thinking we ordered. She did not try to ask a colleage. Pretty bad experience for 10% added service fee. The food...was decent.More

Food is good and affordable but service is poor. Staff grumpy and rude. This is a chain so find another location if you want to eat at Zapiecek but avoid this specific restaurant.

We visited Warsaw in winter around Christmas and New Year. Found this place just 5min walk from our Airbnb in central Warsaw rated well on Google but not until we arrived at the restaurant noticed the TripAdvisor badge. The long line confirmed this must be...worth trying. We ordered a few plates of pierogi - cabbage with meat, champion and cream + parsley, cheese, potato with meat - boiled and pan fried. Also the beef pierogi in beet soup, which is a Christmas dish. Everything was delicious and quite filling. The pierogi in beet soup was especially refreshing. We loved the place so much that we came here twice more to try other dishes - potato pancake with goulash, stewed ribs, and traditional sausages. All the foods were incredibly flavorful, came in huge portions. We washed it all down with fruit infused mulled wine and Christmas Kompot. the perfect meal to enjoy after a day's walking in cold and wind. I loved the cozy ambiance - it was Christmas time so the entire restaurant was decorated with dried orange garlands and lights. This is a chain that you can find at least 4 or 5 of them all around old town and central Warsaw.More

Not to be confused with the rest of the chains with the same name, this one felt different and more cozy (definitely less busy). Food was tasty and filling. Wine was simple but paired well
