Restaurant smells cigarettes - it’s really unpleasant. But if you you can bear it, be prepared for other nasty habits, like leaving glasses and pack of tables on your table just to serve other table (?). We don’t have rigorous criteria if it comes to manners, but that was rather weird – especially that nobody ask us if it’s ok.... More

I still say one of the best in Poland! Lovely comfortable beds, rooms a fair size, gorgeous view over river especially at night. Meals very satisfying, the restaurant come bar serving beautiful meals later in the day, compliments to both chef+staff.

The food was very good, a bit expensive but totally worth it. I will definitely eat here again during my next visit to Opole.

I would not recommend choosing this restaurant, as vegetarian/vegan option are unavailable. The worst nightmare of vegetarian on family gatherings.

What can I say, my girlfriend is Polish and from Opole and she took me here to try traditional Polish cuisine and I wasn't disappointed, the food was amazing, so tasty and the portions plentiful, the service guy was very friendly and funny made us feel both welcome and relaxed, the decor of the place is very traditional too, there... We've spent a lovely evening in this restaurant, with amazing helpful service and delicious food! The selection of all kinds of meat in the menu is really good. Nice atmospere, although the place was full and we were lucky to get a table.

For years this is the best restaurant in Opole. Food is excellent , little more upscale then regular polish food , but it is the best. Make reservations a specially during a weekend. If you want to try something special for alcohol drink try" nalewka" . They have at least 20 different kinds and it is delicious . Ask for... More

Nicely located by the river, serving tasty dishes, with superb service. Three rooms offer quite a lot of space & nice decor. Worth to go there and worth its price. For dinner for three (main course + some non alcohol drinks) we paid approx 170 pln.

Thank Janusz P

Our restaurant is located in an old-style boutique appartment building, just next to the river Odra, just a stones thorw from the town square (distance 250 m).The restaurant consists of three rooms. The first room is set in the ‘country style’ of an old Bavarian hut featuring antique dark-wood furniture. With lots of charming local bric-a-brac lying around giving off a simple country air, this room comfortably seats up to 40 guests with 9 tables to choose from as well as 6 places at the bar.For those of you who prefer a more elegant and private setting, we recommend the ‘Banquet Room’. Here the furnishings are based on neo-modern designs from the early 20th century, otherwise known as the ‘interwar period’. The trraditional white tablecloths, old family photos on white walls, and elegant period furniture create a cosy atmosphere, somewhat reminiscent of an old grandmother’s dinning room. Incidentally ‘Starka’, our restaurants name, is actually an affectionate word for grandmother in Silesian, a dialect of the Polish Language.
