Very friendly staff and in overall simply a very cool place - especially compared to the different touristic places around. Coffees were very good and place offers a wide range of alternative plant based milks. Nice ambient vibe. Totally recommend!
Felt I'd been a bit harsh with my review from my first visit so went again. We had delicious coffee and apple cake, but the hot chocolate was still tepid to cool. Perhaps this is just the way they serve it here.... Nice interior design.
We stopped by the Drukarnia Cafe whilst walking down Mariacka St at around 11am on a Sunday. The weather was chilly outside and the thought of a decent cup of coffee was super appealing with it feeling like -4 outside. Upon entering you can immediately...tell these guys know their coffee! With a variety of different roasts lined up on the shelves behind the tills and the aroma of coffee lingering in the air.
When entering we were warmly welcomed by the staff and immediately set eyes on the menu to try to decide what to order. There are a couple of seats downstairs but it looks very small, fortunately we took our chances with having our coffee and cake in and embarked up the stairs after ordering.
Upstairs there are plenty more tables with some quirky and modern decor and lovely views out of the back windows. Before long a member of staff come up the stairs with a tray looking for our sign to bring over the order. A delicious dark roast espresso, hot chocolate and 2 slices of cake all for about £6. The coffee itself was delicious, a dark roast with a very delicate chocolate taste of which went beautifully with the vegan nut cake I had. My girlfriend opted for a rich hot chocolate with a slice of what can only be described as a rich gateaux looking cake.
The portion size were all great and for the price just couldn't be questioned it is a brilliant value and quality. The location of the cafe is also stunning, nestled away on the Mariacka street a traditional looking "Amber museum" of a street, you are bound to walk past it whilst in Gdansk.More
We found this lovely small cafe based on my sister’s recommendations. Service was excellent, lovely waitress was serving us on the desk and then the order was brought to table. Both cakes we tasted were so good and coffee was also very tasty. Definitely worth...of visiting!More
