A beautiful location in a vaulted cellar on the grounds of Strahov Monastery. Service and food were very good. A very elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. Price wise a good value.

The dark monastery atmosphere and the huge cold stone walls create an amazing result! The food was really good too! The risotto and the monastery plate top! Dog friendly too :-) Just don't miss it!

We just happened to notice this by chance. It is a little hidden away. We just stayed for one beer at the bar, as we were not hungry, but we would love to go back for a meal. The service and beer were both very good.

This is a place where you bring a girl to. After climbing the petrin tower you will be tired. Beers are cheap environment is nice. Get the girl tipsy here and have a great time.

We prefer busy restaurants where we can people watch and occasionally strike up a conversation, so I was a little disappointed to see we were the only ones there. I believe 7:00 must be on the early side because 2 more tables came in later. The food was good, not the best we had. The atmosphere in the cave was... More

The food served was excellent and well priced. There was a good selection of drinks available. The environment was beautiful and interesting. The staff were efficient and pleasant. Overall would highly recommend as the whole experience was well worth the reasonable price of the meal.

Restaurant Peklo is located close to Petrin Tower and a little bit hidden between the ancient walls of Malá Strana. The restaurant interior design is between a culinair restaurant and a cave, so the light is given by candles and antique lamps. It is always good to reserve your place in the restaurant however you can also stop by to... More

Who knew that going underground could bring you closer to God. The food here is amazing and the stony surroundings make you feel a world away. It was a great epilogue to our Petrin Hill walk.

Different place, like in a cave, well decorated and with a nice staff. It's on the way from the strahov monastery to the petrin hill. The beer was no that cheap, but ok (70cz/2,7euros for 0,5l).

We were told about this restaurant by a local, who told us the name means Hell or Inferno... but were pleasantly surprised by the setting when we got there. Stairs lead down to a cavernous maze of tables and a well-stocked bar. Mainly candlelit it is atmospheric and the various stone carved alcoves all add to the beauty of the... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
