Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a smart food and drink hall just off Staroměstské Námestie ( Old Town Square ) and is a place my brother and I always make a beeline to as its such a cool place, located in the ground floor of Food Story is Beer Story ,a really cosy pub that offers great draught beers and arguably one of the best bottled beer selections in Prague, they stock some great beers from not just around the world but some great hard to find beers from Czech microbreweries.
The interior is absolutely fantastic, cosy low lighting creates a great atmosphere, really good decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and beers on offer displayed on boards by the bar, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,it's a great place to unwind in.
My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Friday afternoon, we immediately went downstairs were we got a table, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of the beers on offer my brother opted to have Rapter Brewery IPA while I went for Permon Brewery IPA, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers.
My IPA was absolutely fantastic, a strong, well crafted IPA, very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoy, my brother loved his beer and we soon polished them off,we decided to have one beer each and we both opted to have Matuska Brewery broumy double IPA ( imperial ) and once again we were served an absolutely fantastic brew.
This IPA was very strong but also very tasty, it was a beer style not to rush but to savour but being in such a wonderful bar and enjoying such a quality brew why would you want to rush anything.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on, between my brother and I we sampled three great styles and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Food Story is easy to locate on Dlouha.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Friday, Open from 9am.
Saturday & Sunday, Open from 8am.
A great bar,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.

We felt like it's the Czech experience.
Wide verity of beers, local dishes with generous plates filled with food.
Excellent service.

Our first visit was for breakfast. Croissants were very good. We were served by Jacob who was very friendly, efficient and informative. We went back next day for drinks and I got a veggie burger (needed some proper food!) Technically it was roasted veg in a brioche bun but I enjoyed it anyway. Decent menu and prices. Worth a visit.

Christmas eve launch with my family.
We booked a table the day before for 1 O'clock pm. The day after we arrive on time but the kitchen was closed without any possibility to have a lunch there. I don't want to spend any other words about this restaurant. No excuse from the personal at all really unprofessional. Thanks for the Christmas present.

Could be a nice place. But service is horrible! And the most horrible experience was to listen how the manager is talking about me and my friends like we are dirt! We have left without finishing the first beer! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

Kitchen is 3/10. But the worst thing is service.
We arrived at 21:40, twenty minutes before the kitchen closes and stuff had started arguing loudly between each other: ‘why you accept new orders if kitchen stops in twenty minutes’?
This is ridiculous. Management should definitely make the stuff more client-oriented.
If you have argues in your team - discuss it not in the hall of the restaurant in front of your guests.

I was there and found the worst waiter to date in that restaurant. He was being very rude to every one that was entering the restaurant. There was like a reserved area in the restaurant that was not properly separated and every guest that tried to go in that direction was treated very poorly by the waiter. In one case be began yelling Hello to one of the guests that entered the local. The girl that brought us the food was very nice, however, I wouldn't go near that bar/restaurant again because of that waiter.

My fiancé and I stopped here for dinner on Friday night. My partner is celiac and needed a gluten-free meal. The menu had allergen markings which were helpful. The waitress got a bit confused but the manager and chef were happy to help. We had steak and roasted vegetables. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. Not a traditional Czech restaurant but it was good.

Food was OK, but the service was lacking. Several tables seated after us were served before us. Almost left, but was finally able to get the attention of a server. They were not nice and it took three times asking to get our juice. Much better service at the numerous other places we rent to over the weekend.

Found this little shop in around Old town square. Wandered in and not knowing what to expect. We ordered beef goulash, mushroom soup, bread, and ham. What a pleasant surprise. The food is delicious and atmosphere enjoyable, we had such a good time and will definitely recommend it to follow travellers.
Servers speak good English and are willing to help.

Just a two-minute walk from the Old Town Square, this business is a grocery store (limited in selection), restaurant, and pub. We went there for gluten free bread. My wife was very pleased with the quality of the gluten free baking. Other gluten free products are available (pasta, etc.). If you are gluten intolerant, this shop is handy and the food superior. Early morning is best time for bread, though we found that buns were still available even in the evening. Their deer sausage is also worth a try. Not the less expensive store, but convenient and good. As well, the whole complex is an interesting mix of food services. A bakery across the street also advertises gluten free products.

Good location in the old town. Place looks great. You can choose between different salads, sandwiches, soups and cakes, beer and wine. They also sell cold cuts and cheese. Try their soups, they are delicious and the sandwiches too. Nice staff. Low prices. Great choice.

Food Story (next door to Beer Story) is a modern cafe experience. Tall bar tables and chairs, some seating facing the front window, very casual. We stopped in for a light meal of roasted vegetables, roasted goat cheese on beets and tomato soup. Everything was really good. So far haven't hit a bad version of baked goat cheese on beets anywhere!
Not a super friendly atmosphere but pleasant and seemed loved by some locals who were meeting up while we were there.
There was a lot more to the shop, snacks, salad bar....gift items. Clean and kept up nicely.
