The quality and presentation of the dishes was really at a very high level. The waitresses talked about the composition and preparation of the individual feasts in detail, which aroused our interest and the experience of consumption. It was worse with wine. Riesling Ried Bruck...Muthenthaler and Gewurztraminer Comtes Egusheim were served at a high temperature. I heard from the sommelier that this is not true and that all white wines are at the same temperature. Hard to agree with that when in the other hand I had wine from set B which was perfectly fine in a dewy glass. I didn't drink the warm wine, the waiter took away the full glasses, but what surprised me was that the sommelier didn't even offer me a replacement. At the price of 14,900 CZK for dinner for 2, I expected better service. So after the first visit to the Field, it looks like we won't see each other again.More

Staff and visual aspects were incredible. Too many of the courses in the mid section of the menu was a mousse or custard. It needed more variety of texture. The amuse bouche were excellent as was the deer and cheese picnic course.

One Star Michelin Restaurant in Prague. In evening offers both a 10 course and six course degustation menu. Also two choices of Wine pairing as well nonalcoholic option. Went with the 10 course and the more expensive Wine pairing A. Each dish expertly prepared and...presented. Minor preference issue that the wine pairings were heavy on whites, not sure price point between A and B was totally worth it.More

Ate here with friends last weekend. We are from the Uk, our friends are expats living in Prague The whole experience, start to end was exceptional. The restaurant itself and the ambience are perfect. So many restaurants at this level are quite stuffy, not so...- Field The waiting staff are pleasant, informed and helpful. It is clear each knows the menu back to front and can answer any questions asked. The food itself is excellent, often served with a story and real drama! My only reservation is a couple of the dishes out of the 10 were a little rich to the point of being somewhat sickly but really there was little to complain about. Some have said the meal feels a little rushed. There does seem to be a constant serving of food with little break in-between but to be fair the whole meal took over 3 hours so any breaks between courses would have stretched this way beyond 4 hours. All in all a thoroughly pleasant experience.More

Very nice experience that we enjoyed very much. The service was flawless in servicing the dishes, wine pouring, cleaning and related activities. As for the food, the degustation offers a mix of Czech tradition with high refined products. While most of the dishes can be...an explosion of great flavours, some others left me with the sense of “something is missing here”. Overall, a great experience in a Starred restaurant.More

We went to Field last week and were not wowed by the food, although the service was wonderful. The dishes ran from OK to great and they put on quite a show (at the risk of being just a bit too precious), but overall it...was not worth the hefty price tag.More

For those into the culinary arts and are au fait with Czech chefs, you'll probably know Radek Kašparek. Being the man behind the cooking, I was eager to get a taste of his work. Field has defended this title for having a one star Michelin...status for over five years. With such a prestigious accolade I entered the door without any scepticism. The ambience is anything but snobby. Instead, Field displays a relaxed airy feel, much like walking into a contemporary art gallery. The decor was minimalist, clean and welcoming, with some stylish light projections on the ceiling. Smiles beamed around the room and I knew before being seated I'd have a satisfying lunch to kick start the weekend. The meal began with potato bread accompanied with Czech cottage cheese infused with poppyseed oil and butter – yummy. Out of a series of dishes the beef and cauliflower puree particularly stood out from the rest. The meat was deliciously seasoned with shallots on the side and very light garnish. Added to this was a very rich and umami beef and truffle gravy. One mouthful and my appetite was fully sated. The lightly carbonated water I had by my side soon cut through the thick pleasing taste and balanced the flavour in my mouth. Pictured is the medallion of duck. Paired with pork stuffing, cabbage, cranberries and mustard seed, this dish came a close second in terms of succulence and flavour. Overall I cannot really fault this venue besides having more comfortable chairs to sink into in order to spend longer there. Staff were good humoured and extremely learned about the intricacies of all the dishes. Hearing about their understanding of the history and flavours of the wine selection, in English, was most impressive. I can highly recommend coming here. The name Field is very much in line with the experience and personality of the restaurant. Earthy flavours and simple aesthetics are just some examples that contribute to this establishment.More

I had a table for 4 in afternoon, we ordered some wine with food...I enjoyed the service more than food to be honest. Not too intrusive and not lazy either.

Service act like in a race. I left stressed and with a headache, because sound there is terrible. Value for money is not satisfying. We ate better in non-star restaurants in Prague for half the price and with friendly and professional service. Food levels were...not stable. Sometimes very high, such as for dessert and starters, but the main course was not so good.More

My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch. Ambience - We went for a late lunch so relatively quiet but the staff were welcoming. Service - Our servers were attentive, polite but not over intrusive Food - We went with the lunch menu...due to lack of time as the two tasting menus need a minimum of 2 hours. The starters had a good combination of flavours and we found were better than our main courses.More

It's hard to know where to start! Field is a magical blend of fantastic restaurant, creative art gallery, and performance venue, all in the arena of food. Each course had an entirely different set of dinnerware from pottery to glass to crystal to wood to...stone in beautiful shapes and configurations, often with art embedded inside. The food presentations were straight out of a modern art gallery. The attention of the servers was impeccable and timely. The pacing of our 10-course meal was superb and allowed us to be able to handle all that (including the wine pairing and still walk home!). Klara, our server, in particular was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and just superb at every turn. The most unique and exceptional dinner we have ever had (including some 5-star places). You will never forget this meal.More

Fantastic tasting menu!! Highly recommend! Service was competent but not warm. The food was at a high caliber and quality. There was definitely thoughtfulness to the food and the techniques were there. The composition demonstrated attention to contrasting and complimentary tastes and textures.

First things first: every single dish was a perfectly balanced symphony of subtle flavours, none of them at odds with another despite the sometimes daring combinations. Every single dish had a beautiful olfactive identity too. Each instrument in each dish melted into the next in...butter-smooth unison. Fine, very fine dining this is. Where my 'but' comes in is where my taste in classical music does: some symphonic movements, however masterly and perfectly played by world class musicians, can yet feel a bit flat. They leave me nonplussed with nothing really sticking in the mind after a minute or two. This, for me, applied to the first 2, maybe 2.5 dishes of my short degustation menu. But then Shostakovich in all his glory turned up: the lamb was just the exquisite pedestal onto which the incredible sauce and the palate-exploding side blew me away. Add to this the fact that the Saint-Estèphe was so, so well-chosen for this: a sublime, stupendous combination. The apotheosis actually extended to the dessert, where again the wine pairing elevated the beautiful creation no end. In fact, the wine pairing (B in my case) was a highlight throughout. Wonderfully interesting wines, all of them, polar opposites all yet imbued with subtle connections and always delightful by themselves, making you rediscover wine as it should be. Can't wait to try the upper-echelon pairing. The courtesy sweets at the end had a lovely word to say to finish the dinner off with a flourish. There are two schools of thought on classical music. One says the lenti movements are there to lead, crescendo, to the climax. In this line of thinking, the meal was a model of architecture. The other school, to which I personally subscribe, would rather be given a climax at every single mouthful. So in this sense Field did not deliver to the fullest. Still, it was sublime and I can't recommend it enough or wait to return. Oh, yes, where the side was let down in my view is the espresso, which lacked texture and depth (but it was a decaf).More
