I have made a point of always visiting this restaurant when I am in Prague. It operates on a buffet style, giving you the opportunity to pick exactly what you want. There is a range of hot and cold dishes available. It is interesting that you pay for your food by weight. The Restaurant is just a 2 minute walk from the central square. They also have a shop next door selling a range of Vegetarian and Vegan food. I believe they also operate a couple of other restaurants in Prague

It is a wonderful vegan restaurant in the centre of Prague; many choices, clean and delicious! We come here almost everyday during our stay in Prague. It's not that pricey. It goes by weight.
We highly recommend this restaurant for veganners and non-veganners !

An amazing selection of Vegan food in the heart of Prague. You basically pop the food on your plate and it gets weighed and you pay that way. The food was tasty and its a nice space to go and chill and hide out in as well.
Would definitely go back there.

Contrary to most reviews here, I do not recommend the country life cafeteria. The dishes are overcooked and poorly seasoned, and I find that the value for money is higher than Loving hut, which has the same concept of a vegan cafeteria. I also find that the dishes lack vegetable proteins to balance the nutritional intake: no legumes (kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils...) and no substitute such as tofu, tempeh or seitan. Disappointing. On the other hand, the room and the terrace are pleasant and calm. For those who love vegetarian and vegan cuisine, I would rather recommend Loving hut, Forky's, and Linh's vegan corner for a meal in the city center.

I think we visited at an odd time as the selection looked a bit drab. It's buffet so you choose what you want based on what you think may be in it. They weigh the plate and charge you accordingly. Some of the options like the lentil bake just tasted of pure garlic.

Satisfied with the local dishes of the days spent in Prague eating a lot of meat, we decide to abstain from further animal proteins for one day and choose a healthy vegan vegetarian restaurant. We had heard about Country Life and were excited to give it a try. Upon entering you have the feeling of being in an office canteen. It's a do-it-yourself buffet where you take the tray, the plates and choose the dishes to eat. Given that there were no labels describing the contents of the various ingredients and the dishes themselves, I tried to ask two gentlemen who were sitting, in uniform, behind the counter. Someone answered me in a rather superficial tone who seemed to be doing me a favor by answering the simple question 'what's in it?' More than anything, you could also have intolerances and ask for the contents and ingredients given that it doesn't specify anything except on the menu that you should carry with you, it seemed natural to me. We fill our plates with various dishes, some we know well, others we don't. The soup was good. Otherwise, the vegetables were nothing special. Brussels sprouts almost raw and with the root, usually the final part should be cleaned. Everything tasteless to be seasoned separately. A real disappointment. The only smile given to us is given by the lady at the checkout who explains that you pay by weight. Other than that, I wouldn't go back. There really is much better in Prague.

Located beautifully in the middle of the Old Town this place is a unique and inviting place of joy, especially for vegans. I love the self-serve buffet style of the cafe and the sheer range of options was amazing.
It was heaven for a vegan solo traveller like myself. I also love the paying by the weight of your plate that country life employs.
I ate here like 3 times in 5 days and would happily eat there everyday if i'm honest with myself. It's hearty, healthy, filling, and affordable.

Delicious vegan food!
We had the buffet and it was amazing. So fresh, flavourful and full of colour and goodness.
We kept saying how we wish we had one close by.. I’d be a regular for sure!

Accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant with my family. Lots of salads and vegan options. The prices are very affordable, tasty and satisfying.

Before visiting Prague I knew I was going to visit here! Lots of food to choose from, not much hot food choice but with the weather being hot in Prague it’s fine! They had the most amazing tasty soups with tofu and broccoli which I wish I had more of! Beautiful clean place to sit. Lovely staff aswell.

Love this place we visited each day for 5 days. Different menue each day and lots of choice of hot or cold lunches cakes etc. Excellent prices meals around 5 euro. I couldn't find decaf tea any where In Prague, would be nice.
