We went to Cicala, which is right across the street from the hotel where we stayed in Prague, Boutique Seven Days Hotel. I was so happy to have found this place. Reservation is required if you want to guarantee you can get in because it is very popular. The pasta with red sauce, sausage and artichoke is heavenly. We should... More

We visited this little restaurant couple of times. Amazing Italian food, great service and cozy atmosphere. One of the hidden gems in Prague. Will definitely come back again!

We opted to take carciofo and bresaola for starters and pasta carbonara and salsiccia & carciofi pasta. Food was not bad, it was average.

We had a lovely meal here during our visit to Prague. You could easily walk by and not go in, but you would miss out. Lovely, authentic Italian food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. It seemed v busy so booking probably recommended. Try the profiteroles! Delicious :)

My starter arrived promptly but my meal was forgotten and I was kept waiting a long time. When it arrived the fish was underdone. While it is nice that it is evidently a family run place, it is not pleasant to have the sight of a baby's nappy being changed at the entrance to the restaurant

We tried this restaurant as a couple one night as it was convenient for the hotel opposite. We both had bruscetta to start which was very nice although the tomato could have been chopped a little smaller. The seafood broth which my wife had looked great and it put a smile on her face. She said it was just her... More

Our experience was fantastic from the start when they opened a special small dining room away from the noise of the main dining area after noticing that we had a sleeping child in the stroller. We started the meal with the salad with buffalo mozzarella and the minestrone soup. I was shocked when they brought out an entire pot of... More

Delicious and authentic Italian food, the house wine is excellent and the staff is very welcoming, speaks Italian and a good sign is that local Italians also come there to eat. Book a table as there are many who find this gem hidden in a basement in Prague. Oh did I mention the price, you do not believe what all... More

Cicala Trattoria - Back in 1997 a unique opportunity started to present itself in the centre of Prague - an opportunity to taste the real Italian cuisine flourishing under the baton of the culinary maestro Aldo Cicala. Today it has already been fifteen years since the restaurant opened for the first time and over these years it has won renown for its cosy family atmosphere, received numerous prestigious awards and welcomed many famous personalities. The restaurant owes its success first and foremost to its rich homemade Italian cuisine served with great attention to detail under the supervision of the talented chef David Cicala and to its emphasis on the quality of traditional ingredients. The restaurant also earned its high reputation thanks to the always friendly and accommodating staff who are also members of the Cicala family and create a genuine family atmosphere.

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
