Where to start? This place used to be good but it seems like Max's (the owner) involvement has been less and less because the service is absolutely horrible. Waitresses that don't speak English well enough and are completely indifferent to their customers. Over 4 visits in 4 months we were disappointed each time and decided to do what we almost... More

Always pop in Jama for a few beers when in Prague. Never to busy, about 75p for a small beer. We ate here for the first time. Streak and chips which was nice and i jad a meatball baguette. Not bad.

What a lovely find this place is. Great staff and a warm welcome. You'll find some amazing beers here. Had a nice chat with Max (the owner?) too. Well recommended

Maybe other dishes are not but i ordered hamburger and it was bit salty. But generally it was tasty, the meat was fresh and smooth. French fries were also good.

Been there countless times over the years. They have a new cook and menu now and the burgers, wings, brunches are all fabulous. Good selection of beers and helpful staff.

I stumbled upon Jama 3 years ago when I spent a month in Prague and recently revisted it. It's easily located, though still a local spot with more Czech people than tourists. That being said, the bartenders speak English and were super friendly. My friends and I come here for some great and cheap Czech beer. You won't find Pilsner... More

Went here on our last night in Prague for an early dinner wanting something different to traditional czech. Went in here for the tex mex and the beer. Ordered the beer flight but was a bit disappointed that they didnt tell you which ones you were drinking. On to the food and we started with chilli soup which was actually... More

Asked a friend who lived in Prague where to have dinner with some friends and without hesitation she said Jama. It's kind of underground and has a decent vibe. Not too loud but enough people talking and hanging out to people watch if you conversations are not ideal. Food was tasty and very American. Beer was cheap, super tasty and... More

This place was a real 'find'. Great food, good range of options :- burgers, Tex-Mex, steak. Good prices and quality excellent, range of beer and ale was good. What made this special? The people working there were friendly not just the usual 'polite' they were happy to chat or leave you alone. Good English language skills. I had a burger,... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
