Some colleagues bring me there for Lunch but apart the brokoly cream all the menu was full of meat dishes and Czech food. So no good for me as I do not eat any meat at all.

If you're around Wenceslas square and looking for lunch or dinner, don't fall into the tourist traps with tables outside the street... rather come here, it is only one block away, a hidden treasure with very reasonable prices and very good food. We came here twice during our visit to Prague. The goulash was very tasty, as well as the... More

nice food, nice prices, fresh Pilsner beer. if you come at lunch time (before 6 p.m.) - it's ok to find a seat. later you may need to wait for table. main area is smoking-friendly, room to the right - is smoking-free.

This being my second visit to Prague I decided to return to this hidden treasure of a restaurant. It's one of the few places right near the center of Prague where you can eat and drink truly like the locals do. The interior design hasn't changed since my last visit two years ago and that is actually for the better.... More

Well, I thought that the place would look better inside, the service was weird- the girl was really slow and not nice. I ordered best prague burger but I dont really think it was the best, but it tasted good!.. Food was just OK if you do not care how the place look like and it was quite cheap! :)

Beer was great, food was too greasy and the waitress a disaster. She was so annoyed about her work that she looked at all people as if she hated them. The cocktails (Mojito, Mai Tai) nearly only contained of ice cubes, but at least - the location is cool, it's downstairs in Lucerno with nice interior decoration.

Be careful about your bill. It can happen that you'll pay much more beer than you had... We paid 6 more beer...

We were there with group of foreigners just for quick lunch. Staff reserved for us 14 places and kept them also during lunch peek. We selected from daily menu and classical menu. Food was very quickly prepared and very tasty. The service was great and quick. The price was fine. It is hidden to tourists and serve for working Praguers.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
