Called in here on a recent visit. Settled down with drinks and just ordered food. One of our party went to the loo and was followed in by the chef who having used the facilities left with washing his hands and was seen going back to the kitchen. Our friend , who is a trained chef, was appalled and spoke... More

Poor.... so very poor!!! Easily the worst buffet we have ever been to.... The food was awful, nothing was replenished, most of it was cold, fairly bland in terms of taste. The service was non existent and when we arrived menus were just thrown on the table in front of us in a heap with NO words spoken from the... More

The service was pleasant and the settling attractive--but the food was really badly seasoned. The spring rolls were below average: dry and with very little filling. And the almond chicken had an unpleasant flavor.

Note: Everything I am writing and wrote is my opinion, taste and experience only and could be different to others. The place inside the Lucerna Pasaz and 30 meter from the hotel. The restaurant was empty and one work. He was the waiter, hostess and probably the cook. Very apathetic but not in a negative way. He probably quite person.... More

The ribs, starter was battered bones, absolutely NO meat what's so ever, the 2 main dishes we got were no better, Garlic chicken-which was just a ball of sticky, wet batter and chicken-no flavour at all,the other dish was beef curry, just as bad,the saucy tasted powdery,as if... I invited friends for an asian food, a little bit of sushi with of choice of Chinese/Vietnamese food if raw fish was not an option. Shame about the 'waiting room' decor downstairs, upstairs was much nicer but smoking area. Selection of food was good and complemented with pictures, so menu was easy to navigate. It was quite important because the... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
