This place is obviously very popular as we got a table with a time limit as they were expecting group bookings. That said we weren't rushed and the service was ok, likewise the food - tasty pub grub nothing more, but then it wasn't expensive....

Enjoyed another dinner with good friends. The food is great, the service attentive, and the atmosphere cozy. We will definitely return and think this is a great balance of authentic atmosphere and good quality. Not so fond of the bramboraky, but that's not their fault--pub potato pancakes are just heavy and they instead need to be prepared by a loving... More

The restaurant is nice with a cosy atmosphere, but not fancy. Service is nice, nothing special. The food is very good and thatcat a very good price. If you like heavy traditional Czech cuisine, this is a place to go. I loved the Livance! (Czech pancakes with powidl and sour cream)

I've been here before based on reviews here on trip advisor. and had the goulash. Not like the Hungarian goulash but delicious. Like braised beef on slow cooked fire loaded with aromas and pure goodness. Just what I needed for a cold night. Tonight I'm having the ribs. This is a huge plate and it's scrumptious. You better be hungry... More

Very friendly service and welcoming to tourist. Food was delicious, I had the fried cheese and mashed potatoes and enjoyed it very much. Would definitely recommend. Also had wifi. Non-smoking dining available.

A dining room oozing old Czech style. The menu offering a good range of regional dishes. Friendly and efficient service. I will come back to this one.

We enjoyed the sausage appetizer with grated horseradish and mustard. The rib slab was enough for 3 people and was a but dry. Service is slow. Ambiance is okay.

Went here on a dinner with friends during our trip to Prague and left out amazed! The food was outstanding, and their beer too! Everything we ordered was excellent prepaired, tasty, portions are reeeally big, and the price is pretty good! +They have separated space for non-smokers and smokers. If you want to taste local Chech food & beer I... More

This place is certainly something you should experience when visiting Prague. It is far from the crowd, and far from all the touristy places. We stumbled upon it on tripadvisor, and decided to give it a go. We ordered their home made beer, smoked ribs and pork knee. It was tasty, abundant, non pretentious and really made a delicious experience... More

Very local restaurant with separate room for smokers and non smokers, close to the Vaclavske namesti and Museum metro. Nice homey atmosphere and excellent service. Food, mostly traditional, is delicious and abundant whatever you ordered. From garlic and onion soups, ribs in honey, smoked sausage, beefsteak and "svičkova na smetane" with dumplings. The apple pie with whipped cream on the... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
