I went here a couple of times just because it was in the city centre. The restaurant has a chic decor and the atmosphere is cozy. I've noticed that a lot of people complained about the service, in my case it was alright, even though the staff didn't seem to make any extra effort to provide a pleasant experience. They... More

I don't tend to review unless I want to promote a restaurant that I have enjoyed. In this case the reason that I'm reviewing is the total opposite. To warn others away. We stopped for a quick drink and to get out of the rain, fully expecting inflated prices for the privilege. The beer was 2-3 times more expensive than... More

The view was amazing of the old clock and looking out onto the old town square, with it been outside it was still lovely to sit with the nice warm heating blowing on to you.. such a shame about the price and quality of the food. Small portions, cold food, and not best quality! Would really be an amazing place,... More

For a late night supper - meaning after 10pm - after going to the theatre, this was one of the few places still open. Fearing the worst as it was obviously in a very touristy area we had little choice but take the plunge. Glad we did. Staying clear of the Italian menu but sticking to local cuisine, the Pork... We had a light dinner on our last day in Prague in this cafe overlooking the old town square . Staff were OK and service reasonably prompt but as we guessed the bill was nearly three times the cost of a similar meal a few days before half a mile away . Good if you want to people watch and... More

Dissapointing raw chicken main and a 175 koroner (£5.50) bottle of water. Left after being potentially poisoned but was (of course) still charged for the carbonara we barely touched.

Awfull place. Never come here. Stuff is very lazy and seems they are not interested in making guests happy. Came here to have a short break, drink some coffee and wait for my girlfriend who was walking the main square. Asked three times for wi fi password before I could connect. When I went outside to smoke they told me... More

We had finished walking around the old town and fancied something to eat so we thought we would give it a try we were shown down stairs to the tables and we were given a menu in which the waiter told us about the specials that day the food was top class and the toilets are very clean . If... More

Firstly hospitality isn't big in this place. When we seated, the waiter through his pen on the tray and generally wasn't a happy chap. He speaks multiple languages to cater for the many different guests which is pretty good but he is very grumpy. He kept throwing things onto the service table. The food wasn't great. It's definitely over-priced (considering... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
