I had passed this place on my many visits to Zizcov and it had never been open as I have mainly arrived late at night and for the weekend. However, on this occasion, we arrived at midday and made it a mission to go and sample the strudl. As previous reviews have pointed out, some of the surrounding buildings are... More

Make no mistake, they make a VERY good product. Saw this place via Samantha Brown years ago and visited shortly after. Back then was AMAZING. Went again recently and one was equally amazing. Only reason took a star this time is because the other we ordered was stone cold. We didn't ask for it this way. Two identical orders and... More

And nothing else There are three types - Apple - Poppy - Cream cheese Each is only 50 Krona for a ~20 CM loaf It's about 15 to 20 mins by tram and short walk The building is covered in scaffolding at moment as you can see in photos but he's still operating Worth the... We stayed in the city center but took a bus to reach this place. We didn't find it difficult to locate at all. We tried the apple, which was absolutely fresh and delicious. It's so cheap and one is definitely enough for two people or more. Saw this place featured on Samantha Brown's travel show and it does not disappoint.... More

There are only two ways you will find about this place: either by someone's reccommendation or randomly walking past it. Always freshly baked, always warm off the oven, wether it's the poppy seed, vanilla cream, plum or the more traditional apple filling, this strudel will be a wonderful treat for your senses. And that portion can easily feed 2 people.

For about 1.50 Euros you get a Strudl that is too big for most people to finish. My wife and I shared one and she couldn't finish her half. We are not Strudl connoisseurs by any means, but it tasted great to us. I'd suggest picking up a little tub of vanilla icecream to go on the side and enjoy... More

The place is a bit difficult to locate, but totally worth searching. Strudel is always fresh and delicious.

We found it! We had also seen this on the Samantha Brown show, so we had to find it. It was the most delicious of sweet treats. We bought one of each, apple, cheese and poppyseed. Our favorite was the cheese. They were so heavy, and at 2 euros it was a steal.

This piece of art apple strudl totally worth a 20 minutes ride outside of city centre. And all this pleasure for less then 2 euros.

This is a very small store in a residential neighbourhood and you have to go there quite specifically for it. But believe me: it's worth it. The applestrudl sold here is simple yet amazingly good, just the right sweetness, crunchy outside and chewy inside. And it's incredibly cheap too, considering you'll get a whole studl 25cm long, warm and freshly baked....
