Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Made reservations on their website.. .. they were closed when we arrived. No indication on Tripadvisor or website the restaurant is closed. We had to change our plans and eat else where.

Food was good. My father had the duck which was well cooled and juicy. I had the beef broth soup which was a bit heavy on the salt. Dessert of chocolate cake and creme brûlée were very good. Would have been nice if the creme...brûlée was warmed with a torch before serving. Service was excellent. All in all a worthwhile stop for dinner.More

First time in Prague and I found Saturday nights are a party night filled with bachelor parties and women out for fun. Nostalgie offers a more traditional experience. Cozy, excellent service and delicious food; what else would you want for dinner? The Goulash is amazing!

Just down the road from the Astoria hotel. The lady on reception suggested the Nostalgie to us and we visited on our first night in Prague. The gentleman who looked after us was brilliant, very funny, and knowledgeable about the food and wine. He really...helped make it a brilliant night out with friends. Please visit if you are in the area. you will have a fantastic time.More

Lovely meal here. We ate here as it was close to our apartment. The waiter was very pleasant. The food itself was very tasty and good value for money. The atmosphere was laid back and cosy. I would recommend the goulash.

This small restaurant just a bit outside of the old town offers good Czech cuisine. Atmosphere is lovely, interior is rustic and prices are normal. If you will find yourself near Imperial Cafe (and you were already dining there) pay them the visit.

This restaurant is what gives Prague a bad name. The proverbial tourist trap. Went out for dinner with my family. Average sort of food. The best bit came at the end, the waiter demanded a 10% service charge which I refused. A very expensive bill...that on closer inspection revealed rampant overcharging in quite a few things, like charging us for six glasses of wine when in fact we had one bottle. Please do not go to this place if you want a fair meal and value for money.More

I gave this restaurant a very good rating because of the unique atmosphere and great food and wine. The service was ok. If you are a party of two, they will push you to a small table that is available, even if you don't want...to sit there. If it is a colder day, make sure you sit on the ground level, as an upstairs door sends cool drafts along that level.More

Very pleasant staff and the food was very well presented. A great find away from the busy tourist full high streets but not too far to go.

I am a picky person when it comes to dining out...atmosphere and food must be pleasant but not stuffy. My husband and enjoyed the meal and the staff very much. Suddenly someone started playing the piano and people got up and danced! lol. Good clean...fun loving place. We will come here again hopefully!More

Friendly service by "Tomas". The Tomahawk is a pork chop. There is only one place that serves a better pork chop. Side-Street Inn in Honolulu, Hawaii. All of their dishes are tasty. The people from Viking riverboat cruises recommended the place. Tomas heard that and...gave the group a free glass of wine to start the meal. I thought the dinners were reasonable Euro prices. I think Czech Republic has a lower cost of living than Western Europe proper.More

We stopped by as a group. Place was quiet but waited a while for drinks order. Food was served quickly and was tasty. I think everyone found food satisfactory. My issue was portion was small, I had the goulash, think there were around 4 smallish...pieces of beef in sauce and 3 slice of dumpling. We were bought bread near the end (Is this usual custom?) seemed there was obligatory charge for this but it was very minimal. Was going to rate 2 star overall but the quality of the food we did have pushed it up to a 3. Goulash was tasty. Without being overly critical there is better value to be found in prague.More
