Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Low key cafeteria catering to locals, serving local food at a fantastic value for the money. It’s the place to go to escape tourist energy and all that goes with it.

A great place that you should definitely visit. I had a great goulash and a blueberry dumpling with poppyseeds. Really good value and tasty.

Best food we had in Prague. Cantina style place. Staff is not friendly but the price was fair and the food was very good. Highly recommend

Well, take these my five stars in some particular context! This is a public cafeteria / canteen / dining hall functioning in and designed in the socialistic styl - like back to 1960's - 1980's!!! But in this context this is a very cool venue!!

The line might seem terrifying, but it moves quickly and it's worth staying. The staff is efficient and the food is delicious. Prices are very reasonable. We stayed in Prague for 3 days and were eating here all the time. Their sweet and sour cabbage...is a must! Good job!More

Excellent place for a cheap and tasty meal in Prague City centre. It looks like a canteen where you might find even a queue outside, but the time to get to the counter is quick quick. Large variety of Czech dishes, all of the below...200 chz...get your tray, make the queue and enjoy.More

We stayed for two weeks in Prague and we only 2 days didn't have lunch at this place. It sounds how satisfied we are with the offer and quality. The previous time we stayed here in May, guide recommended us to eat here. Everything was...at the top level, just like this time. A large selection of fresh food with drinks and desserts at moderate prices. My recommendation for safe and tasty food with friendly and professional staff.More

The only positive thing here is the price of meals. Taste was acceptable, rather average. Otherwise it was an awful experience. Unpleasant staff, dirty toilets, chaotic method of payment. We will never come back again.

The cheapest eats in old town I guess. Typical Czech cuisine. Not outstanding but still not lacking. Large selection. Many, many customers still well organized. You can try everything without paying too much. Halves possible! Even soups are sold as 1/2! Full portions are very...big!More

What a bit of Czech history this place is. We came here twice and if you want traditional food served in a traditional place, you have found it. It’s more of a cafeteria than a restaurant, you queue with your tray and order your food...at the counter. Then you order a drink then find a table to eat. People often share the little alcoves when it’s busy. 2 plates of food and 2 large beers for less than £17.More

Cafeteria style, budget friendly, no frills type of place. The food was good. I ordered a pork schnitzel with potatoes and this refreshing cucumber salad. The only beef I have is that the price for the meal (excluding salad) was 157 crowns but then they...charged me for the potato salad. As pictured it says 157 crowns so I told them it was confusing. The cucumber salad is 50 crowns and a must try although I found it in the dessert section. It wasn’t until after I had eaten it that my palate defined it as a salad not a dessert. I’d come back here again, it’s inexpensive and fast service.More
