Great little restaurant with great food away from city center. Right on the 6 or 12 tram line near Holesovice . Large portions, enough for 2 meals. Service was good and even had an English menu. When you are done eating you can go bowling...upstairs.More
This is my favorite restaurant in Prague. Just back from a 3 night stay in the city and I went back to this restaurant _every single night_. The beers are delicious (and only £1), the tapas are AMAZING and their fresh rye bread is to...die for, hands-down the best rye bread I have ever tasted in my life. I love pickles and their pickled cheese/ chillies/ pork in aspic... WOW. Their 'pork knee' was a manageable 300g and was the tastiest most succulent piece of pork I've tried, complete with cartilage and fat cooked in a way that denotes a very highly skilled chef. It's very difficult to cook pork that way. Their beef tartare wasn't very good. But everything else - WOW.
It's family run I suspect. Only 1 to 3 waiting staff. Despite this - extremely friendly and pleasant. Awesome vibes from this place. It also has a very rustic feel to it.More
The restaurant is separate from the bowling alley. We had excellent local food, goulash and a Blacksmiths cauldron. Both were really good, big portions and I had good black bread instead of baked potato when I asked for an alternative. Good beer and wine. Service...is very good. Clean basic furniture, not a romantic night out but a good choice if you want local food off the tourist trail at a very reasonable price.More
We ate here after it was recommended by our hotel as somewhere which would be open after our late arrival. The four of us each had a different traditional Czech dish each and all really enjoyed the food (even the fussy eater with us). The...Breznak beer was very good and the whole meal including drinks came to less than £36 for the four of us.The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. If you are in the vicinity call in - you won't be disappointed!!!More
The personnel was really helpful and friendly, the menu was available in English and German, in addition to Czech, and the food was delicious and served quickly! All this for a great price. I can only recommend for a quiet (traditional) dinner and a nice...experience!More
This is a great find. The atmosphere could do with a switch from mini fluorescent to warm LED bulbs, to give a bit of an updated light quality in the dining area, but everything else is delightful. Great Czech food, very professional service in several...languages, generally very good choice.More
I've eaten here a few times and always found it great food, good vibes and excellent value. It's traditional Czech food, such as Cesnecka, Svíčková, Smazeny Syr etc. and most of the customers seem to be Czechs.
