It is very important to at least once in Prague to have traditional food. U Labuti is a place for this! Goulash, knedliky, Prague ham, all tasty and made as they should be. When you visit Prague Castle, it is very convinent to pop in here.

Found this restaurant by accident and returned a few times as the food is exceptional and great value for money. Some great traditional czech food.. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Happy to help me choose something that I could eat with a food allergy. Never felt rushed here nor on returning were we disappointed with the quality of... More

This restaurant is within walking distance of Prague Castle and Strahov Monastery. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the liver pate for appetizer, a schnitzel and a combo meal for entrees. The pate was absolutely delicious – one of the best we’ve tried in Prague. The entrees were also very good. The combo meal was plenty even... More

We came to the restaurant starving after a long day. The food was really dried and not tasty, and the waitress were not nice and not welcoming. Don't come.

Went there with family after visiting the castle. I knew it was a good choice once I looked at the hot chocolate I had ordered - it was like a thick pudding of liquid chocolate. Pretty good rates for the location.

This restaurant is situated very close to the Prague Castle. So many of the little cafes in this part of Prague are nothing but your run of the mill thieves' dens, which display one price on the menu board when in reality your bill comes to two, three, or four times that amount (I'm serious, be careful and always check... We went here for lunch after spending the morning at the castle. Perfect location, but the staff were not particularly friendly. The food was reasonably good and relatively cheap, but the place lacked atmosphere. When paying for our meal, the waiter handed us the card machine and selected 'yes' to whether we wanted to add a tip. I accidentally added... More

Although most pubs around the Prague Castle are tourist traps, in this case it is not true. Prices are adequate to this area, the food perhaps not excellent but good. Really beautiful surroundings in a stunning historic building, which probably belonged to the church's in the past. The atrium is really nice. The only flaw is the staff who does... More

Dad and I had lunch here during our 4 day holiday in Prague. I had the beef goulash and Dad had the pork. The restaurant is very conveniently located close to the Castle Complex and the service was really fast. The food was not bad by normal standards, but the quality of food in Prague is so high that out... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
