Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a must visit in what I think is a largely boring food city. It's in a cavern like basement that's not easily seen from street level. The food was the highlight of my visit. I had the roasted sausage as an appetizer that...comes with mustard and a huge portion of freshly grated horseradish. It was superb and could have been my full lunch. The svericka was the best I've ever had. This popular Czech dish is a piece of pot roast-like beef with a slice of sweet-sour orange on top of it, all of which is then topped with a dollop of whipped cream on the orange. Yes, that's right. It is then served with an amazing sauce made from roasted root vegetables. Don't even think of visiting Prague without trying it. We also had the equally great duck with red cabbage. Both locals and tourists (mostly French) were there. Someone had what looked like a stunning serving of pork knuckle (offputtingly called "pork knee" in Prague) that I'll try next time. There are tons of bad food in central Prague and equally bad Italian restaurants. Why eat there when you have this? Service is a bit abrupt but respectful and efficient.More

We had to visit one restaurant with local food due to our trip to Prague! Most of them don't accept visas but this one does! Thankfully!! The place is very unique, with lots of food choices, normal prices and with vegetarian options! We liked everything...we ate!More

Sitting in a cozy table in the back we ordered the schnitzel - it came with a heaping portion of mashed potatoes. The server was prompt and the food came out fast and hot. We also had their dessert - I can't recall what it...was called, but it was like three soft sweet buns, stuffed with blueberries, swimming in a cream and blueberry sauce - it was so delicious.More

Beware!! We stopped for an evening meal and were seated upstairs. Whilst a nice venue, the head waiter was extremely pushy and rather rude because we ordered beer, suggesting we order a bottle wine with dinner. We were shown a menu with pasta, fish and...steak dishes only to be told when seated with drinks - only steak was available for a main course. Opted to share, we ordered a steak with a side of green beans and potatoes. Very small, tiny, portions of veg arrived with steak. This meal was in no way special, the meat was incredibly gristly and not cooked as ordered, took A very long time to chew! The bill arrived - £200! For one course and two drinks. The meat is charged PER 100g, please be aware of this. This put a real downer on our evening, The restaurant manager simply advised meat is expensive in Prague (which isn't true, already had the best steak ever elsewhere at a great price). Be very cautious, don't go upstairs to Relativity Steakhouse unless you are prepared to pay excess cash for sub standard food.More

I went to this restaurant last evening and it was all then good… I’ve chosen “sourdough blueberry dumplings topped by sour cream and wild berries”…i didn’t finished it cause’ it couldn’t be finished a dish like that. It wasn’t a dumpling, more like a Dorayaki...filled with cold blueberry jam and on the top there was salty cheese…under those dorayaki for “decoration” there was more and more jam of blueberries also cold, with not the “sour cream” but literally whipping cream. So the contrast between the cold sweetness of the jam and whipped cream with the saltiness of the cheese was anything then good… The whipping cream was also on the top of the dish of my mum “svíčkovà” that’s the name of the dish… Usually the whipping cream is used in pastry shop… The worst dinner in my lifeMore

I saw this restaurant on a couple of YouTube reviews and thought I had to try it. It was really good, although busy we were quickly shown to our seat and served some much needed beer. Although only there for lunch we had both a...starter and main course. We had the smelly cheese, the ham, cabbage soup and pork schnitzel all of which felt very authentic and tasty. The decor is nice and atmosphere had a great buzz. The service was attentive and we were served both drinks and food promptly. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try but you’ll need to know where to find it as even though I had researched I walked past the very understated entrance 🤣More
