Really wanted to try the traditional goulash, which as a coeliac is out the question due to it usually being thickened with wheat flour. Really pleased to find this restaurant which alongside a ‘normal’ menu had a plentiful gluten free menu - including a traditional...More

Fast pit stop during a day of walking around. Service was quick and welcoming. Good selection of beers and large menu. Goulash was very rich and tasty even it had a bit too much salt and garlic for my taste.

Svejk provided a range of authentic Czech food, with the added option for a separate gluten free menu - both menus in English as well as a number of other languages. The atmosphere was a quaint, with pub-like decor and a casual atmosphere. While the...More

The restaurant is one of a franchise chain named after 'The Good Soldier Svejk', the simple-minded hero of an anti-war novel written after WW1 by Jaroslav Hasek. Joseph Heller has said it was the inspiration for 'Catch 22'! They offer good traditional Czech food and...More
