We arrived at the Praha station around lunch time and were looking for a place to eat and found this place not far away from the station. The menu offered a variety of food items for a reasonable price. We had steak and pasta and found to be of good quality. Very pleasant environment and good service as well.

This place was just around the corner from our flat. We wandered through all the restaurants on the street and this one looked the most attractive. Value for money is good, you have some soups or small servings if not very hungry, we took a soup and an appetizer as it was late to eat a lot, it was more... More

We had a hamburger and 1/2 duck. The burger meat was way too salty and it felt like it was just one of those freezer steaks. The duck was just ok, not anything special. The service was quite below average - the waiters didn't smile at all. And also be aware - people are allowed to smoke on the other... More

This restaurant and pub was just around the corner from the apartment we rented in Prague, near the train station, but, not by any means, in a tourist location. Appeared to be frequented largely by locals. There was a varied mix of Czech and pub offerings. Recommended.

Clean restaurant; food was good. Very large servings. My wife had a pork shoulder which was huge. A number of traditional dishes on the menu. Happy to recommend this place.

We ordered few steaks, 1 salad and 1 burger. All the products with meat were "so so". Burger patty was hard like a rock and tasteless, the flank steak was really chewie. Unfortunately the quality of food did not match the price.

Went in here on Christmas Day because we had to book somewhere and it looked decent. The beer is nothing to write home about mainly being Staropramen and other industrial beer which is a shame with so much other stuff around. The surroundings are quite nice and very rustic but all in all makes for a comfortable place to eat.... More

Pleasant surprise between one train and another. We left the train station and stopped at Sherwood. First good surprise is that they had no issues with a 40 kg dog entering the restaurant. The answer "yes, sure we accept" was given with a smile! The 1/2 duck leg was superb!

Popped in here while in Prague. This restaurant was just up the road from our hotel so very handy. The staff seemed mostly friendly and the service was quick. We had steak which was delicious. We also had cocktails which were good as well. The only thing that let it down was that everyone in there smoked. Now I know... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
