If you are looking for traditional Czech dishes at affordable prices with great service then this is the place. It doesn't hurt that it is located next door to the Charles Bridge either! Their goulash soup and homemade dumplings are a must try.

We came to this restaurant on our first night in Prague and had a lovely meal! The staff were so polite and friendly and the atmosphere was perfect- we couldn't have asked for a nicer meal to welcome us into Prague- thank you! Cannot recommend this highly enough- excellent central location, definitely worth finding for some lovely local food!

Had a lovely steak and starter in this restaurant on our last night in prague, was a wonderful meal and the staff were very friendly / only negative points were they seemed over eager to clean our plates away and the I would of liked real chips / but all that aside the steak was to die for.

We had a great lunch here--the goulash was quite good and our waiter was wonderful with suggestions to make our experience even better. We would definitely go back.

We had booked short stay ; Reception friendly & efficient. Room very nice & comfortable if a little old fashioned, but up 2 flights of stairs. Evening meal well up to standard, the local speciality pork knuckle was delicious if a little too big! various breakfast options to suit all tastes though maybe a little short on fresh fruit. We just stopped in while walking through Old Town, and were so pleased. The food was very good, and portions were generous. There we couples and families, and yet felt like fine dining.

We were staying in the hotel and ate in one night after a disappointing meal the day before elsewhere. We were delighted, the meal was simply superb, very good quality throughout matched with great wine and all at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and we had a lovely night. Breakfasts were similarly good quality, we were so pleased with our... More

The restaurant has old Prague charm and has a very nice atmosphere with good service. However the food was nothing special. We ordered the pork tenderloin and the veal roast both came with mashed potatoes and all though both were done well they lacked flavor, almost some thing you would get at grandmas kitchen table, hardy food but not much... Good food with a fair price. The atmosphere is excellent for dinner (candelights and a very romantic place). The service is educated but they ask for their tips too if you pay with credit card.

My wife and I spotted this restaurant earlier and were impressed with the quaintness and the menu so we came back for dinner. My wife had onion soup and a Caesar salad and I had the braised beef cheeks over garlic potatoes with a walnut and wild mushroom stem sauce. Yum Yum! The waiter recommended a local red wine "Cech".... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
