Didn't read the reviews before eating here! I can agree with them if is terrible her! Carbonara was tasteless and my chips were stone cold as if they had been sitting on the side for half hour. I asked them to be changed and the manager was rude. The 'fresh' chips were rock solid.. obviously they just put my old... More

In a great location, very nice building. But they literally STEAL their customers! We were 4 people, We ordered 4 plates, 3 cokes and a Pilsner. Each plate was around 11-13 euros (around 350 czk). They brought us a basket with buns and butter and on the table there were Pretzels hanging. We thought they were free because we didn't... More

We went there for a lunch. Unfortunately we weren't told that pretzels which sit on every table are 49 Czech crown each (around 1,65£). While we were waiting for our meal a bread roll with a small piece of butter arrived which we did not order. We thought it was complimentary. It wasn't- another 100crowns added to the bill. Similar... More

The location is great. Close to everything. I'll guess ok to have a beer. But the service is not the best. Was not found of how a waitress started to say something in her language while waiting for some tourists to pay. Also noticed how the waiters always say that the don't have change and that way charge you more.... More

My husband and I went for dinner and found 2 very surly and rude waiters not just to us but every other non Czech speaking person. The food was ordinary and I ordered schnitzel which was ok- how can you stuff up schnitzel? It came with nothing on the side so had to order and pay even for chips- mustard... More

Just don't do it. Shockingly awful. Two terrible sandwiches and water was €35. Poor service. Extra charge for ketchup.

Went here for breakfast. The service was not good. You got given a bread basket that had stale toast in it. If it looked like you were not giving a tip the older waitress returned to remind you the service charge was not included. You barely put your fork down and the plate is swept from beneath you. The food... More

This very old and authentic bar and restaurant in the centre of Praque is a must see. The paintings are authentic and the staff is friendly. A dissatisfier is the ugly Coca Cola fridge with advertising next to the bar.

We stopped here for some drinks - Hot drinks were luke warm... we then asked a waitress for the bill (a large lady with brown hair) who was very rude, when the bill didn't turn up we then asked a waiter who we asked twice... the bill still did not come, so we then went into the restaurant to pay... Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
