This is really worth a Michelin star. It's not cheap, but it's damned good. Service also perfect. But be aware of the wine pairing. At the price of 72 euros plus service charge, it's very expensive. But at all, that was not the worst. Be...prepared not to have the possibility to taste the wines. Know that you will have 40% of the wines from another, cheaper country. You go to a Michelin starred restaurant in Czech Republic to try wines of Hungary of Georgia? And be prepared to receive wines (at least I tried two before I canceled the pairing) that don't impress and they'll serve you a minimalistic quantity. You can laugh at it, but my partner (who just choosed individual wines by the glass) was served the same quality to taste, as I (who did not have even the possibility to taste) was served to drink. Better to choose a good bottle, like we did eventually. Wine pairing can always be tricky, but this was horrible.More

Please see my other reviews - I’ve visited hundreds of places, including Michelin star restaurants. I was slightly sceptic about this restaurant but luckily from the welcome all the way to the end everything was faultless. Unbelievably good food, technically perfectly presented. Service is impeccable...and not at all too intrusive. Flavour profiles are spot on and also provide some surprises. Expect good cooking along with good service - a perfect meal!More

As a foodie and a frequent restaurant-goer it's quite a rare occasion that I get to taste something completely new. This restaurant succeeded in that! Soft pork with a thin pasta sheet on top was my favourite. I've been sampling non-alcoholic beverage pairings and they're...usually disappointing. La Degustation nailed this as well; wonderful drinks that complemented the dishes beautifully.More

My wife and I both had the vegetarian menus. The evening started off well with strong appetizers (especially the golden beet) and there was a well thought out selection of matching non-alcoholic drinks throughout the meal. The mushroom-based main course was good but nothing too...exciting (have had many similar dishes for a much lower price tag). The desserts were very underwhelming in of themselves but particularly for a one Michelin-starred restaurant, as both dessert dishes were very boring. They had minimal treatment with the only exception being an ice cream which we both didn’t like. The other was a bowl with a very poor ratio of blueberries to condiments. In terms of service, the welcome was good as the team was aware of our dietary preferences. Most of the team were very attentive but not intrusive. However, we noticed that the main member of staff attending to our table was not as friendly as the rest, barely even cracking a smile and his pace of service gave us the vibe that he just wanted to get over with our table. When he brought the check at the end of the meal, he dumped it in front of me and left without saying a word (he didn’t even make eye contact). I understand that some people may have a rough day at work (I know I have) but when we’re paying a bill of this size, it is natural to expect a little bit more effort to act friendly for a few minutes even if you don’t feel like it in the moment; it would’ve certainly added to the experience. All-in-all, based on our personal experience, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant as it does not offer what it demands for price.More

Overall, this 5-course diner is up to the 1 Michelin star expectations: it's local and various in taste and textures, even the vegetarian option. The restaurant is also well located in the center of the city, and has a modern design and atmosphere. I'm rating...4/5 because of the wine pairing : it is highly disappointing (mediocre wines in the selection - for example Georgian white wine made out of kisi grapes) and pricy. Go for bottles or glasses of your own taste should you visit the restaurant.More

In each trip for the last evening, we are choosing a Michellin restaurant dinner. This trip to Prague was no exception. During this week we have been visiting restaurants with no star, but recommended by Michelin, at it were surprising in a good way, but...this time as suppose to be the best experience, La degustacion resutaurant disappointed us, We took a tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was ok, the wine pairing was ok, but everything is overpriced! The most disapointed thing was the attidute of waiter and sommelier. They didnt wait any answer from clients, were talking and explaining what they learn, were in a rush. We felt like in a mass production factory, why. The culmination happened when we refused coffee and it was brought to us and again the waiter told us about coffee his text and run. Wait wait? we didnt order! To sum up from our experience this restaurant not worthy any star.More

This is a one-Michelin star restaurant and it lived up to its star. The place is well-located in Prague. Easy walk from our hotel. Excellent service. The sommelier picked a great red wine for us. The dinner was delicious and the service attentive. Highly recommended!...A+!More

Not our first time here, yet it was a slightly disappointing experience. We were here for a romantic celebration, well known by them. We actually booked our trip around this celebratory evening. Pro's: - particular and tasty dishes - clearly chef's personal signature - interesting...wine list (nice Czech wines included) Con's: - rushed / speedy service - hesitant (so it came across) serving more particular wines (Brut nature zero dosage Champ. & Czech orange wine => both of very nice quality, well enjoyed them) - and mainly most annoying was the general rushed / speeded service. We noticed that out front and mentioned to slow down, luckily. Yet the tables in general were rushed (up to the level we it became a topic of conversation between the guests) - zero attention to our celebratory occasion - didn't even get the chance to order a 'pousse-café' after finishing our bottle - we were left 3 tables next to one another and they clearly wanted us out by throwing the bill (without asking) on all 3 tables simultaneously - nobody of our serving staff remained (visibly) in the restaurant at that time and departure was very impersonal. Yet the one presenting us the bill bluntly pushed towards tipping additionally, without any shame… So yes, could have been quite perfect, with more personal attention and not such a rushed speedy service. It's supposed to be fine-dining, where you can enjoy the evening, yet they manage to rush out tables in 1 ½ h to 2h. For that price you're looking for more of a memorable evening. Can't believe this is the philosophy and general level of hospitality of La Degustation…More

The overall experience was very enjoyable and well worth a visit. There are a couple of items on food we think that can be improved: 1/ The fillet mignon was a little disappointing due to lacking of seasoning, so a bit bland in taste. The...presentation didn’t showcase the fillet mignon as it was completely covered by kolrabi. 2/ The dessert was very tasty, has the umami taste however missing texture (very soft) so perhaps with some finely chopped nuts (pistachios, walnut, almond), or maybe a deep fried artichoke crisp/chip. Hannah was a delightful hostess, and we will definitely visit again when we come back Pague. Thank you for a memorable evening.More

Probably the most friendly and professional staff you will ever come across in a restaurant. It’s easy to see why it has a Michelin star. All staff were super knowledgable on all servings and constantly checked to ensure we were happy. We had 5 courses...which included Asparagus with egg yolk, trout toast horseradish, Pork belly, Fillet mignon and finished with a hazelnut defrutum. The portions are very small, but you do feel full at the end of the meal. We accompanied this with a czech wine. All food was delicious and cooked perfectly. A very different experience to a normal meal, but a very enjoyable and amazing one.More

My dad, brother and I all had a lovely evening at the restaurant. Great atmosphere and view to the kitchen. The service was great and of course the food was amazing! Favourite dishes were the trout and the pork. The wine menu was very good...and it was interesting to taste Czech wine as well. We loved it 😁🌟More

Very attentive service personal and excellent food. But at least one course should be filling. We still felt hungry after spending 125 EUR per person (w/o wine) - even after having aperitives 1h before.

Visiting other cities we always like to try one Michelin (star rated) restaurant. So we decided to dine at La Degustation Boheme Bourgoise. The tasting menu was good (especially the cod and the poached eggs) and the quality of all ingredients fresh and tasty. We...decided to add the wine pairing which was really interesting since it contained mainly smaller and national wines. Compared however to other Michelin experiences this restaurant was not as innovative and quite expensive.More

We booked here for lunch as a group of 4, the decor was nice as you would expect and the open kitchen added to the experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive, sometimes verging on too much. Firstly, we browsed the wine list which...was extensive and after deciding on a Riesling, the waiter kept insisting he would fetch the sommelier which felt like he was not listening but instead was trying to suggest the sommelier would recommend another bottle. Only when the sommelier arrived was it obvious that he was merely giving me tasting notes and insight into the bottle I chose, he was very knowledgeable and passionate about wine. The waiter came to take our order again and questioned why we did not want the 5 course tasting menu rather than 3 courses. We did not bother to explain that half of our party did not eat fish as we thought this was a bit rude. Shortly after the wine arrived, which tasted exactly how the sommelier had described but was not typical of a Riesling but surprisingly pleasant, some appetisers were brought over which were fantastic, specifically the beef tartare and rabbit kidneys. The soup starter followed shortly after the appetisers were finished and was delightful, the hint of pork through the dash of cream was an excellent use of flavour. Next the mains arrived which we had all chosen with the wine pairing, once again, the waiter came over to inquire if I wanted the wine pairing as “it was just another Riesling”. I confirmed I did as the bottle we had was very different to Riesling I tasted before. The food arrived and the waiter explained each dish but one lamb dish was cold and had to be returned. This was done without question and a new lamb dish brought out shortly after which was superior to the previous and also better than one we did not return. All other mains were ok but not at a level of a Michelin star. Dessert was pleasant with one member of the party ordering dessert wine. It was only when this arrived that it was explained that it was a cider, it was enjoyable but we would have preferred to know this in advance. Overall the meal was enjoyable but not quite up to the standard of what we have had from other Michelin starred restaurants. The most gastronomically intriguing food we were served were the appetisers. I would commend the sommelier and the use of flavour and texture in the appetisers but I must say the rest of the meal was average for this level of dining.More
