We dropped in to the pub on our first day of sight-seeing to take a break and rest our legs after a day of travelling and exploring Prague. The Pub had a nice ambience and we tried the local Urquell Pilsener. They do a 1 Litre tankard which I tried and it definitely was the right size for me ;-)... More

We stopped in here after a long day sightseeing and getting our laundry done, which required 2 trams to get there. The place is on the square and we really had a good time. The food and drinks were excellent, as well as the people watching.

If you want a genuine dining experience in a Prague restaurant, this is the place. Good menu selections, well cooked, freshly made, tasty food. Very efficient and cordial service.

Food was good. Service can be inconsistent when it's busy, but the staff is friendly. The outdoor seating area is great, it's a great people watching spot.

The lunch meal was value for money and the soup was good. However, the waiters have terrible attitude and they placed our food directly in a used plastic bag when we asked for take out. Unless you are on a tight budget, find better options!

Had lunch at this place. We started with cream of brocoli soup which was so good to warm up with. The goulash was excellent as well as the rabbit dish. my friend had the wiener schnitzel which she was not fund of but overall it was a nice lunch experience in Prague. Very short walk from the Augustine hotel.

Good service and delicious food and beer in a very traditional restaurant. the place seemed to cater mostly for dining couples. Some people had their (well behaved) dogs with them which gave it a relaxed feel.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
