Ate here on our last evening in Prague after some rather disappointing meals, we wanted something traditional and tasty and that's what we got. We were seated immediately and the service was good although a little offstandish at times which we have encountered across Prague throughout our trip, I'm guessing this is the usual Czech way. We ordered the Royal... More

Excellent restaurant with delicious food at very reasonable price! Make sure to taste a traditional dish and local beer as it's well worth it! Such a great traditional atmosphere and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We were lucky to sit right at the back next to the decorated walls and it felt as if we were dining on an alley... We found it by accident since we ate there the very first day or our trip!It was late enough. It is traditional, cheap and no touristic at all! The meat was great as well as every dish we took!It had menus also that give someone the possiblity of tasting more dishes! The beer in draft was excellent!

Sat outside to watch the interesting mix of passers by commuting between the old and new squares. Chose from the daily menus as they were easy to understand and had a good selection of local specialties. Meals were great. Generous and tasty with good service. One even had an aperitif, local, as part of the menu. Lovely way to spend a... More

We enjoyed our experience here. You go down steps to a small double roomed area that has the best ambience for a little local place. The food was very good, and I was planning to give Blatnice 4 stars. But then, when we were about to leave, we noticed that there were 3 (THREE!) extra drink charges on our bill.... More

Saw it online and decided to go as it closes late comparing to other restaurant. Food is not expensive and service is good. Fried cheese is recommended for tourists esp cheese lover Nice staff with polite and friendly attitude.

Poor in all. Rude service. Poor food. There are too many great choices here to tolerate rude behavior and bad food. Pick anywhere else and you will be fine. Prague has lots of excellent choices for dining

Ate here on our first night in Prague and because it was close to our hotel. Although we liked the ambience of the place we felt that the quality of the food (we both ordered local dishes; Goulash and Old Bohemian Meal) and service, were average. Good beer though.

Thank James F

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
