Even from the start when we walked up to the bar asking if the kitchen was still open we only got head nods as answers from the bartender. Our waiter was very short and seemed to rush us even when asking for suggestions we got none. I ordered the Calamari which was terrible even though I love Calamari. When I... More

The tapas restaurant that we had identified for our last lunch was shut so we looked up where else to go and found ourselves in the La Boca. An interesting interior greeted us with a rustic combination of terracotta and stained timber. It has to be said that we would probably not have stayed if it hadn't been for he... More

This is a tapas restaurant which can be found just down from the road from the Grand Majestic Plaza Hotel. We spent all evening there eating delicious tapas and enjoying some lovely wine. The food is excellent and the staff very nice. If you enjoy tapas and a relaxed evening, you'll enjoy La Boca.

Recently visited Prague and stayed just around the corner from La Boca. Visited on a quiet Sunday evening; we were looking forward to the relaxed-Spanish vibe. Our meals were pleasant, myself and my partner both had steak, with a side garlic bread (but were served a rather bizarre side of bread and aioli). On ordering food we also ordered, and... More

Good service, nice looking place, great toilets ;) Chicken salad was great, hamburger was good but the entrecote was a bit weird. It was very chewy (more that normally) and it smelled very very much like fish, also tasted a bit like fish. The waiter said it was only because the meat was aged. I know aging creates certain smell,... More

La Boca is a distinctive district of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, famed for its vivid colours and excellent food. The area is inhabited mainly by immigrants and therefore many cultures are blended here (though primarily Italian and Spanish). That combination of Spanish, Italian and Argentinean culture and cuisine became the inspiration for LA BOCA RESTAURANT in Prague.

Just like in the district of La Boca, we want to offer our customers the same gastronomic variety influenced by the mix of various cultures. The basis of our cuisine consists of quality, fresh ingredients imported directly from Spain and Argentina. During the summer months, our customers can enjoy food served up directly from our garden grill or sit comfortably and listen to live music.

We prepare our steaks from the highest quality Argentinean meat, which is known for its characteristic flavour.

Our pasta is exclusively homemade on the premises.

Our philosophy is to offer customers an out-of-the-ordinary gastronomic experience and a personal approach.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
