Very nice restaurant in an almost secret place in Krumlov. The restaurant has a medieval flair and the meat is prepared on a large charcoal grill in front of the guests. Service and pricing is very good! Definitely worth a visit!
I found this restaurant from a travel book in Hong Kong and booked a table for 5 in advance.
We were assigned to the table near the fireplace that used for cooking. As it was too hot and suffocating there, we requested to change seat....Yet the waiters were unwilling to do so and just ignored us. Yet I voiced out that I had booked a table long time ago. Finally and grateful we were allocated to a table inside.
We did order the famous roasted pork knuckle there. It was just so so. Probably that popularity may not be in consistent with good food and service.More
Rustic style and a big barbeque made a perfect atmosphere. Food was great (enjoyed a mixed grill plate), staff was polite and had no issue that we had our two very young children with us. Not sure if they have child seats.
We had a dinner at that restaurant and are happy about the choice. Food is good, especially bbq dishes, waitresses serve food quickly and keep an eye what customers need. They also have a menu set with soup, main dish and desert that together come...in a good price deal. The place is a popular one, so a reservation may be needed in most busy hours.More
The food was so amazing here that I am still dreaming about it. We had the pork ribs and the pork skewers and both were fantastic. Make reservations because this place is always booked, but totally worth a visit if you like barbequed meat. We...liked the cellar atmosphere here too and everyone was friendly and helpful even though they were sooooo busy.More
