Overpriced for what it is, but excellent as a reminder that repulsive, stuck up behaviour reminiscent of the times past still thrives !! The people who serve in the restaurant still believe that visiting guests are a prey to be ripped off and be shown...who is really in charge there...More

Two days in CK staying at apartments across the street. Day one they were full, so we went elsewhere. Day two, there were plenty of tables open at 15:00. We ordered the Pork Knee with the garlic soup and honey bread. It's a "half knee"...serving size. The portion looks huge when it arrives, but the juicy parts around the bone are relatively limited. Other parts away from the bone are a bit dry for my liking. We also ordered a side pork belly which was good, as well as a side salad. Each dish comes with salad, horse radish and sauerkraut, but I do recommend ordering an entree sized salad too. Service was friendly enough, and it was a good value, so I would recommend a meal here if you are in CK.More

The food is good but Koleno (pork knee) is not one of their best. I tried better ones. Besides, I believe the meat was not too fresh.

Everytime a lot of people in here. You should book a table, before you go. The food, what we were eat, nice and big. The prices are normal. The waitress was very kind and attentive. Dog friendly place! More

My Czech wife found this place to visit on our recent travels back home & a bit of mixed review to be fair. It certainly has an olde world charm with large open grilling hearth in the middle of the main room, so that you...can see your food being cooked. However, neither the food nor the service is anything to rave about & we certainly wouldn't be returning. At the end of grilling service, we also saw a table of 4 Asian ladies that just arrived being treated quite rudely & they left, so certainly not overly friendly staff...thank goodness I was with 3 Czechs. Value for money & food was OK, but think that unless they lift their game, you can do much better.More

The two main courses (mine and spouses) were delivered about 30 min from each others. Food was average and it was not grilled in front of our eyes, as some others have told. Not worth a visit.

Ideally situated at the castle garden it could be an unforgettable experience... if there weren’t the staff that there is.... unfriendly and impolite waiters (a man and a lady) shortened our stay to the strict minimum. Simply too bad.

We walked about 45 minutes to find this place in the heat of the summer. We arrived and it was in a basement filled with smoke from people smoking and the grill going. It would be much better to eat somewhere outside along the river....They also only accept cash and there isn't an atm anywhere close by.More
