The food is lovely and the staff are nice, never have faults with anything. Milkshakes are unreal too.I would deffo recommend calling in for a fish supper.
I gave my nephew the choice of a few restaurants for our impromptu lunch and he chose the Bridge Street cafe, straight away, as it’s a holiday favourite so off we set down from Derry for the day. I wasn’t sure what it would be...like in January but we weren’t disappointed! I had the all day breakfast...lovely, hot, plentiful & scrumptious with a welcome fresh pot of tea. My nephew was torn between the chicken curry, the burger or, what he eventually plunked for, the fish & chips. He had spied cheesy chips on the menu & the server said it was absolute no problem to have them as well. That got a fist bump & a yus! One happy young man. Order took a wee while but the server let us know that it’s because the fish takes longer to cook so we were happy to wait although it was still with us within 15mins of ordering. When the fish & chips arrived it was huge and I thought the lad would have trouble finishing it as there were loads of chips too and straight away the server said we could take a doggy bag home if it was too much. This is your down to earth, good grub, reasonably priced with a friendly atmosphere & great service. We’ll def be back with the gang in the summer but don’t be surprised if you see a few stragglers before then!More
We ordered our fish and chips. We could not help to notice the number of locals before and after us ordering take away. This is a prototypical Irish fish and chips shop. Very fresh fish and chips. Massive portions of both!! If you are looking...for fish and chips in a no frills environment - this is your choice.More
Chips are really nice and their Milk Shakes are the best in town ,just love getting a take away or eating in always good food
Ordered fish & chips to go, the fish was cold in the middle, straight from the freezer. The staff apologised & refunded without grumbles though.
I went here as the flaming restaurant was closed at 5 and we were not disappointed there is more than just fast food here meal deals ranging from soup to irish stew to chicken and they also provide wine or beer we were not disappointed...and they provide dining just be careful of the step down to it on the rightMore

Bridge Street chips and Milkshakes are amazing! Best takeaway around Carndonagh. We have been going here for our weekend takeaway for years and the food is still great.
Food is always consistent, great value, always enjoy the breakfast in here, the best in town and not a breakfast that is overloaded with stuff
