Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During our trip to Ireland we had lunch here on a couple of occasions. The quality was great and fresh to order. We couldn't fault the service or the food. Prices reflect the food we had. We would highly recommend.

Great food, we got breakfast to go on 2 mornings which consisted of breakfast bap (ba0 freshly baked so good), full irish and eggs benidict along with some white choc and ras scones (these come served with jam and cream- just gorgeous). I think the...sourdough should have been toasted in the eggs benny and the hollandaise sc would have been nice a little warmer. But other then that I would highly recommend to eat here when ypu visit. They could do with displaying their menu somewhere online like FB or their website.More

Popped in here with the family for a bit of lunch. It wasn’t the cheapest but oh my goodness it was worth it. I ordered the goats cheese salad and it was massive portion full of beautiful ingredients. I was so happy eating it. The...kids and hubby had sausage rolls that were also delicious. The cakes were outstanding for dessert. It was so hard to choose from the displays - I ended up buying four where I’d only meant to buy two and had no regrets whatsoever! The biscoff rocky road was my favourite and the kids adored the rainbow cake. Staff were friendly and still really efficient. What a find!More

Amazing breakfast! My boyfriend had bacon and maple pancakes and i had nutella and strawberry, both were delish! Such good value too at €6.50, which we thiught was great considering the portion size and the quality of the food (the strawberries were huge and so...fresh!) would definatley recommendMore

Gotca couple of paninis and a sausage roll to take away so that we could enjoy a picnic later in the day. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Food was delicious...probably the best sausage roll I have ever had. My only complaint is that it...is definitely on the expensive side...however clearly quality ingredients.More

I recently ordered some items from Claire's to send to my family as I couldn't visit them during Covid-19 restrictions. They got back to me really quickly about my order, payment was easy over the phone and the baked goods were delivered to my family...on time and with a friendly chat. The feedback about the quality was excellent. Would definitely recommend this to treat family and friends with deliveries of goodies to their doors!More

Great toasted sandwich and coffee today. Lovely quirky cafe with nice staff. Small cosy setting. Ideal for take out also. Nice stop after driving from Malin Head.

Brunch/ lunch/ coffees & treats is what they specialize in. The staff are so friendly, polite and well trained. Ive honestly never had a bad meal there! Their best dish is the (epic) house chicken salad (with chorizo), very very closely followed by the goats...cheese panini. (Although theres a lot to be said for their stuffed jacket potatoes & quiches too- yum). The biggest thing about a trip to Claire the bakers is trying to make a decision as to what treat to have after lunch. There’s about four different brownies alone and that’s before you even get into the variety of cakes/ cheesecakes/cupcakes & tray bakes they have. Everything is super compliant of social distancing and there seems to be very good hygiene practices in place etc etc. It genuinely is just a great wee place to eat. While I grew up in carn I’ve lived away for a good few years now, but from any time I’ve been in, It’s so easy to see why every single local person has nothing but the very highest of praise for this fantastic wee business. It’s been running for ten years which speaks for itself when you think of the amount of businesses who have come and gone. Without even knowing them personally it’s very clear that the two owners are very hard working, friendly and simply lovely people. No request is too big or small. During Covid 19, they had collection and delivery of pasteries and afternoon tea boxes throughout the community. They brought smiles to so many during that time. Their wee cafe has housed millions of catch ups and special moments. It is well worth a stop along the wild Atlantic way! (The SuperValu beside it does good booze deals too for anyone is air BnBing😉)More

Their road side location is fab, coffee is solid and well priced pastries always look yum. 3 stars is for the mank coconut milk they use, please beware it is not the professionals one like in T&S or other places it's this sour, disgusting coconut milk...that ruined my coffee. otherwise stick to reg lattes and you'll be grand.More

We visit this region regularly as our family live here. It is one of the high points of the trip visiting Claires many times. The owners even know our order at this stage which is something given we are travelling form Meath. My kids adore...the sandwiches and cakes and the cute little vintage feel in the cafe. The quality of the food is always brilliant and we recommend the Scones they are to die for ! I am a coffee snob and never let down by the excellent coffee also. The owners are extremely hard working and deserve support and much success.More
