I visited Carndonagh as part of a group cycle trip around north Donegal. We had a delicious evening meal in the restaurant and I hope to get back there again sometime.

We visited on a dull Tues about 5pm. 4 adults , 1 child. Great big restaurant upstairs, which we thought would be dead, but it got busy with a really nice crowd and lots of space so no problem . The staff were very friendly...and efficient. It's the food that really stands out though. Beautifully presented, tasted fantastic and terrific value. Parents went with the roast beef which came with lots of mash , veg gravy and all for €11! Delicious, well presented good, efficient, friendly staff and comfortable clean surroundings. What more could you want?More

We were travelling back from Donegal and stopped in at 8.35pm and asked if they were still serving. The very pleasant waitress checked with the kitchen and they said yes. The menu was good and plenty of choice. I went for the sea bass and...my other half had the gammon. I have to say the sea bass was just melt in your mouth delicious. It reminded me of a trip to Portugal and having beautiful fresh fish. I ordered mash as a side and the two pieces of fish were simply delicious. The gammon and pineapple and chips went down a treat too. Super food and nice service.More

Had lunch on a recommendation when passing through Carndonagh. Good wholesome food freshly cooked and served by attentive friendly staff. One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in quite a while. This is a well run bar and restaurant with prompt service and a...relaxed friendly atmosphere. Price was very reasonable and restaurant offers value for money. Definitely worth a visit.More
