Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’re regular visitors to Ireland and stopped at carndonagh to visit we went to the flaming grill and ordered burgers and chips and O my goodness it was dreadful, the burger was dry and tasteless the bun was obviously days old as it was breaking...into bits as you tried to eat it, we did give them the opportunity to fix it we told the waitress we couldn’t eat it but she just apologised 10 minutes later when I went to pay the girl asked how our meal was and again I said it’s the worst I’ve had and she apologised and gave me a knowing nod that she herself knew the food was atrocious there was no offer of another meal or even a refund real bad customer relations if the customer tells you the food is poor then it’s good business to fix it really bad give this place a miss there are others cafes in the town a few minutes away that don’t have to work too hard to beat the flaming grillMore

A rough and ready 'typically Irish' spot but we got exactly what we paid for and I can't fault it. We got fine big portions, the staff were genuine and friendly, and I'd say this place is popular with locals and tourists. Surprisingly broad menu.

I was in Carndonagh on business and on leaving town I felt like a coffee. I had to refuel the car and the attendant told me of the Flamin Grill. So I went up the escalator to the first floor and found the Flamin Grill...as I stepped off the escalator and turned right. It was just emptying out after lunch and I found a table and settled in. The waitress took my order and delivered it to me. I ordered a coffee and some carrot cake. I was amused by the waitress who was either on automatic pilot or meant me to have everything. So with the coffee came a jug of milk sugar sachets, butter, flora, jam and marmalade. Poor girl all I wanted was my cake. Still it shows they care I thought. The coffee was fine and the cake was delicious. I will be back. It also has free WIFI and a large TV to keep weary travelers up to date with world new. I said it is a hidden gem because from the street you cannot see it and unless I missed it there was no signs outside the shopping center. The staff are all young and cheery and attentive. I left a tip.More

Handy for a quick bite while in Carndonagh. I had some business in Carndonagh and when I finished I was looking for fuel and the nearest were at the Shopping center. I pulled and filled up and the guy at the pumps said the "Flamin...Grill" was good for lunch. Nothing fancy but plain food. The special today was breaded fish and it smelt good. I only wanted a cup of coffee and some carrot cake. I was greeted by a friendly young girl who took my order and said she would drop it over. There was a large flat screen TV which I could use to catch up on the news and the weather forecast. They had free WIFI and I was able to catch up on my emails. The waitress came down with my coffee, a milk jug, sugar spoon and on a side plate was my carrot cake. I was amused as the waitress had also supplied me with butter, margarine, jam and marmalade. I thought this was due to the all day breakfast on the menu or the waitress being on automatic pilot. It was funny and the cake was lovely. The coffee was just OK but I wasn't expecting top drawer at the prices on the menu. All in all a grand place to pull into and there is loads of parking. They have all the usual offerings on the menu and Gluten Free options. All in all a great find.More
