Old world charm set in the old stables. A lovely surprise and in winter a roaring fire welcomes you to stop a while and enjoy coffee and a bite to eat.

This converted tack room is a tea shop with indoor and outdoor seating and located on a collection of craft work shops. The door handle is unusual and customers need to push the central button to open the door. The nearby toilets are nice and clean but oddly the individual cubicles are not clearly signed. One is also baby changing... More

Called in with a cycling group for a much needed coffee and sausage sandwich. Halfway through our forty mile ride, well made coffee and a sandwich, made with quality ingredients including fresh bloomer bread, was just what was needed. Add to that rapid and friendly service and you have the perfect venue for our needs. I am looking forward to... More

Popped in with a work colleague for a quick spot of lunch. Wasn't quite sure what I wanted but having been here before I knew I wouldn't disappointed. I decided on a Jacket Spud with Cheese, Beans and sausages with a side salad and my friend and colleague chose the BLT. We did not have to wait long before the... More

We visited as a group of three!! Lots of food on offer from breakfasts to salad, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. This is clearly a popular place with the locals and as strangers we felt service was a little slow. This cafe is housed in a old stable block / tack room and in our experience was cold, we didn't hang... More

A friend had recommended this place, and it was the ideal stop whilst we were on a bike ride in the area. The tea rooms was popular, and even though they were very busy, we were served with a smile. The food is reasonably priced, and the cakes though I didn't have one looked very tempting.

We followed the signs from the A17 (near the top of the steep hill) and discovered the tea room in a lovely old stone barn. We sat outside in the last of the summer sun and had an excellent sandwich which made the couple of miles detour worth the effort. Things to note - it's counter service (as it says... More
