Because the sun sets around 6:30PM in February the views later in the evening are impossible, so we came a little before the restaurant officially opened. The owner himself greeted us and sat us on the terrace for perfect views of the sunset...extraordinary! Lurin is the highest spot on the island and the panorama from Santa Fe is unforgettable. The... Santa Fe is on the top of one of the many hills in St. Barth's, which means parking is a challenge, just like many places on the island. I had read that the restaurant was recently under new ownership. If it is the service, food and atmosphere were still amazing.
Low key relaxed vibe with great food and a view. What more can you ask for. Love this place. This is very casual. That said, we thought it was one of our favorite places. Lobster! A tank of live ones in the restaurant. You can see St Kitts and Nevis on a clear day. Highly recommened
While exploring st Barth we came across Santa Fe- fantastic setting-view at lunch is amazing, tropical setting at night with the birds and breeze! Food was fantastic- escargot appetizer was traditional garlic butter with a hint of pesto, very good! My wife had grilled octopus which was unbelievably tender and flavorful-I even enjoyed it! I had the Ocean Seafood Pot... More
We were a Party of 4,all great fans of the previous owner. Sadly whilst the meal was perfectly adequate it did not live up to the wow factor of the previous regime. For a start when our bread arrived it was cold. Our Party had varying experinces with their selection. My starter, the famous tomato tart was a shadow of... More
We stopped here after a mid day visit to Gouverneurs Beach. Gotta have a reservation, because the secret is out. Great menu, engaging and helpful staff, and service. You can see St. Kitts (60km) and Saba (25km) from your table.
Santa Fe remains #1 on our list, after a perfect dinner last night. Under new ownership, David and his staff retained some favorite menu items, and added fabulous new entrees - do not miss the veal sweetbreads with truffle gnocchi and foie gras sauce. Everything is classic, delicious and beautifully presented by a charming and efficient staff. Merci! for a... More
Great view from on top of the world in Saint barths, delicious fresh food, and perfect service. The spiny lobster was better than Maine lobster. Ocean pot of fish and lemongrass was superb. But don't leave without tasting a little bit of gourmet heaven with its thin, thin apple pie and the lightness in the lemon tart. Only sad dish... More
We have been to Santa Fe about 5 times in the past 8 years and it never disappoints! We had a wonderful experience dining at Santa Fe this past week. I got the filet and it was perfectly cooked- delicious. The chocolate lava cake was wonderful. We have found that some restaurants on St. Barth's are not particularly welcoming (perhaps... More
