Purely by chance whilst touring around the Norfolk Broads we chanced on this lovely country pub. Great local beer and tasty food. Lunchtime 2 for 1 offer real surprise and unlike other similar deals included some really nice dishes. The sea food linguine and lamb were very enjoyable.

Ok, I'm a regular in the pub, in the past, this was because I could walk to it, now it's because it's damn good. Sunday at 5.30 I gave them a quick call, "could we have a table tonight", "Sorry on a Sunday we stop serving at 6.00 so if you're quick I'm sure we can sort it out.". After... More

Only just found this place. A small country pub full of character. The lounge is cosy and the menu offers lots of choice. The food arrived both hot and fairly quickly for a Saturday evening. I started with the chilli beef which was just short of amazing. After this it was chilli con carne which was pretty good. The following... More

Went here for dinner on Saturday night, sorry to say it's just 'Run of the mill' pub food. Seems it's been taken over recently, the food before was really, really good. We were really disappointed, nothing very special at all. Will not be returning.

As a point of order, we haven't taken over recently, we took over in June 2016. Since then we have worked hard to return The Ship to being a friendly and welcoming local pub, to be enjoyed by regulars and visitors equally. Therefore our business plan moves The Ship away from the fine dining restaurant experience, but we are still... More

Looking for a pub on Easter Sunday was difficult, however, they managed to fit five of us in the bar. Lovely atmosphere and. TV to watch the Grand Prix! Ordered the Turkey Roast for me, Beer Battered Fish and Chips and the others ordered the Ship Burger. All came fairly quickly and mine was huge! Every veg you could think... More

It was our first time visiting this pub and it was lovely. Probably the best pub food I've ever had. Definitely would recommend it.

We walked from Ranworth Broad to the Fairhaven Gardens. On the way back we went to The Ship Inn for lunch (I'm still sitting in the bar using the free wifi!). We ordered a drink and food - great 2-4-1 main meal menu plus a lot of other things to choose from like cheese boards and light lunches. I went... More

This is a lovely country pub, within walking distance to the broad. My husband and I are both vegetarian so he had the vegetarian roast. I went with the halloumi burger as I am not a fan of a lot of root vegetables and you have to LOVE parsnip to enjoy the roast. Saying that my husband loved it. The... More

Seven of us, walked the 2 miles to the Ship Inn from the river moorings and were happy to find it open at 6pm and serving food. Had a good selection of meal options, including 2 for 1 ... We had a steak, fish, chicken pie and gammon... Portion sizes were on the larger size and very nicely presented. Even... More
