Sat on the patio on this lovely September day. The food is always great here; but first time on the porch, enjoying a bottle of wine, the warm breeze and the elegant patio-and of course, the food was spectacular.

LOVE this restaurant! It's a surprisingly small place, but this added to the atmosphere. The food was exquisite. Portions are on the smaller side (as most fine dining is), but flavour is BIG. Staff is attentive without intruding. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a very peasant lunch on the outdoor patio. Service and menu selections were superbly cooked and presented. Felt it was good value notwithstanding the cost. Excellent and attentive service was experienced.

Their regular menu pretty much allows for any taste whereas a Tasting menu is bound to have some foods you didn't really want. It probably needed fresh seasonal vegetables which are not as available in the winter months... More

Chefs Fraser Macfarlane and Georgina Mitropoulos opened Quatrefoil Restaurant in May, 2010. Since then, the restaurant has been named among the top 10 best new Canadian restaurants of 2010 by enRoute Magazine, and among the top 10 best new restaurants of 2011 in Toronto by Toronto Life magazine. Quatrefoil Restaurant is also featured as a prime dining destination in the 2011 edition of Where to Eat in Canada. Located in the quaint community of Dundas, Ontario, the restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine in a charming heritage home turned modern eatery. Macfarlane and Mitropoulos, a husband-and-wife team, met in the kitchen of Toronto's Scaramouche Restaurant, before heading to Europe to seek out new food styles and experiences. Together, the pair has cooked in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, training under notable chefs such as Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and Gary Hollihead.
