My husband and I had passed Figuerial several times and decided to try it when someone recommended it. We were glad that we did as we were delighted by the whole experience. Although it's close to the road, when you're sitting outside it feels quite isolated with all the lovely bushes and fruit trees surrounding you. There is soft music playing and the tables are well spaced. The service was both friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome. The was very tasty with ample choice for different preferences.
I had the prawns in garlic which was tasty and my husband had the onion soup which was full of flavour and covered in cheese.
For mains I had the fillet of sea bass with prawns and prawn sauce and my husband had the chateaubriand. Both our meals were tasty and very well cooked.
We will definitely go there again and can thoroughly recommend it to others.

We regularly dine in Figueiral when we visit the Algarve, it is definitely our favourite restaurant in the area! The food is excellent and good value for the quality you are getting, we especially love the rump steak 'Brazilian style' and the black beans that come with it.
The team there are lovely and we like to catch up with Olivia when we visit. On a recent visit Eraldo was serving us and was really friendly and welcoming.
It's worth adding that we felt really safe there while dining with the COVID restrictions, tables have been spaced well but there is still a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

We had two meals here. Absolutely fabulous food, great service & lovely wine.
Really can’t rate this place highly enough. Some of our UK restaurants could learn something from these guys. The steaks were cooked to perfection & the aperitifs were delightful.
Considering what’s happened with the whole COVID-19 thing & our crazy governments delayed response to the airbridge, I really hope Figueiral has a good season. Lovely family business.

Evening didn't start well when we had a booking for 8, told the waiter when he asked that we were 8, showed us to a table of seven, then argued that we had said seven? We weren't rude in any way but from then on service was distinctly average, only one waiter actually making an effort. No complimentary drink at the end of the meal as seems to be customary everywhere else which is neither here nor there but strange nonetheless when you're spending over €500. Probably explains the soulless atmosphere and the fact that a large restaurant only had three or four tables occupied on a Saturday night compared to the three prior evenings restaurants which were full. Shame really as the food was good (excepting a very small amount of meat on the 'Chateaubriand for One' which my friend still hasn't quite got over)- my sole with prawns with a prawn bisque sauce was excellent.

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions in the past and feel on this occasion it had lost some of its charm. We noted it looked as though a large number of staff were new or still in training, with limited English comprehension ( I know we are in Portugal however in an area where a high proportion of the clientele are English, this is a must.) bar tender looked out of his depth! Service was generally ok.
A G&T ordered was delivered with tonic already added and far too much of it leaving no room for adjustment of personnel taste.
The food was ok with some dishes lacking in imagination with regard to presentation and one dimensional flavor (Garlic Mushroom starter). The Chateaubriand had changed from a two person dish to an individual dish and didn’t represent previous good a value for money. The accompanying dauphinois potato portion was a little on the small size, leaving you with meat and no accompaniment at the end of the meal. The hot stone provided to cook the meat on also lost most of its heat before we had finished cooking. Tablecloths and napkins very clean and nice quality. Still worth a visit but go when quieter as they struggle when busy.

As a family we have visited this restaurant many times over the years. It was always a pleasure to come here but back in 2018/19 we experienced poor service with regard to the serving of cold food for the main course and having to return it to the kitchen a couple of times. By the time the main course was returned the vegetables were cold so we had to ask for them to be reheated also! There was not much of an apology for this problem and I would like to comment that the food is served on cold plates which does not help with keeping the food hot for serving. This problem happened 3 times so we decided that we would not return for another meal anytime soon. We visited the restaurant on 9 September 2022 as a family and try it again, but were disappointed yet again with two of the meals being cold, and again being served on cold plates. One of the meals was returned and when it came back it was then undercooked. My cousin decided to eat it anyway as she didn’t want to return it again as she would be sitting waiting whilst everyone was eating their meal. Also, there was six of us and the vegetables and sauté potatoes which were served were not enough for six people so we had to ask for extra vegetables, and by the time they came we had almost finished. When the waiter came to clear the table, it was pointed out to him that the lamb chops were undercooked the second time so half of them were not eaten. He said he would tell chef but there was no apology. When he came back with the bill, he informed us that the cost of the lamb chops had been taken off the bill. There was also a discrepancy on the bill and we had been overcharged for some wine. So all in all, it was yet again a disappointing experience. No apologies and the lady who runs the restaurant kept well away when I think she should have come and apologised. This restaurant needs to up their game as there is a lot of competition in this area. I see lots of good reviews on here and maybe we have just been unlucky but I’m afraid we will not be returning.

Hands down the best beef tournedo we have had in years! Everything on the plate was absolutely divine - the sauce, the seasonal vegetables, the potato gratin, everything was spot on. Excellent wine list and impeccable service too. Everyone from the bartender, waiting staff, to the actual chef were so attentive (thank you for my GF extras!). Cannot wait to go back

This restaurant on the outskirts of Almancil provides a nice varied menu and friendly and attentive service at sensible prices.
Definitely a more traditional offering however the restaurant is well presented and you cannot find fault with the food.
Worth checking the menu on-line but we try many local restaurants and we always include this restaurant on our list of must visit restaurants.

Went for dinner to this restaurant tonight.
Waited one and a half hours for our main course. There was obviously a big problem in the kitchen.
Food for all tables was very slow and I saw several people complain, but they received no apology.
Food was lovely when it eventually arrived.
I saw other tables returning food as it was cold.
The owners need to fix the problem with the kitchen and they need to learn how to apologise for bad /slow service.
No enough staff and too many bookings I’d not a good business model.
Our waitress India was a lovely very attentive girl, but was rushed off her feet.

First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to make this comment, which I assure you have my full attention.
In fact the service of last Saturday was not a good service, we had several complications throughout the night, which delayed the service, although we did not give up serving our dishes to the highest quality that defines us.
For those who know us, know that our attitude is always the proximity and care of the customer.
I take full responsibility for whatever may have gone wrong with your table, and I can assure you that measures have already been taken to correct what we believe to be of the utmost urgency. The same mistake will not happen again.
I take this opportunity to challenge you to come and visit us in the near future so you can see what we stand for and what we are capable of.

This beautiful restaurant is always on our must visit when in the Almancil/Quinta area.
Fantastic meal here last week with friends. Most of us had the Pichana - the Brazilian specialty of the house.
Everything was delicious from start to finish.
Service friendly and warm.
Outdoor dining room is spacious and tables are well separated, so feels very safe.
I can’t wait to return!

First visit did not disappoint. Delicious praws and mushroom gratin starters. Fillet steak served with hot stone at the table was superb as was the beautifully cooked chicken breast. Booked to return with family on the 28th! Ivan and all the staff were very friendly. Will be our go to restaurant now that we have found it. Vanessa & Paul

If you like an excellent piece of South American rump steak, Figueiral is the place to go. We discovered the restaurant only a few months ago after living already for many years in the Algarve. The staff is very friendly especially Olivia that make you feel very welcome. Also the very friendly chef and meat expert Eraldo takes his time to answer any specific question about the meat.
This restaurant is not only for meat lovers. The fresh fish dishes are also highly recommended.

A wonderful dining experience, Ereldo, Ivan ,Olivia and the team were very professional and welcoming .
We had Prawn cocktail starter followed by Sea Bass and Beef mains. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection.
It was my friends birthday treat, we called to ask if it was possible to order a cake . They ordered a fresh cake from the local bakery, which was also delicious, and then sang Happy Birthday.
We were so happy with the whole experience , we went back for a 2nd visit.
We would highly recommend this wonderful family restaurant, who are passionate about their food and dining experience.

Excellent meal. Service was very attentive and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the experience and the cooking and the presentation of the steak on the skewer which was beautifully cooked. The staff here take great pride in their food which we really enjoyed. Second time visiting and we will be back. Thank you

My wife and I ate at Figeiral while staying in Vale do Lobo. The restaurant was friendly and welcoming despite Covid regulations. The food was excellent - we had Chateuabriand (which is cooked at the table on a hot stone) and rump steak brazilian style - which was carved from huge barbecue skewers at the table. Good range of local wines and helpful waiters. Family run and the proprietor came round to chat with guests. Recommended
