My family is new to Woodstock, so we decided to order some take out from here. I was a walk in, it was a Wednesday and every table was full and a line up was beginning to build out the door. I thought to my self this place must be good because of how busy it was. I then noticed... More

I love their fish and chips. Sometimes though it can be really greasy. Not a lot of places to sit and not really comfortable chairs. I prefer to take out because of that. Service is good.

Yep, it is just what the heading says: burnt fish! At an acquaintance's recommendation, we recently tried this restaurant. My friend and I both received the most terrible looking pieces of dark, burnt fish (cod) which was also quite greasy. As we had traveled all day and were so hungry, we immediately dug in only to find that the fish... More

My wife and myself visited for a midweek supper. We used to live in Woodstock and haven't been to this restaurant in almost 40 years. Layout is exactly the same and was a taste of nostalgia. Having said that, the restaurant was clean and reasonably busy for a Tuesday evening. The owner was doing the cooking and said she had... More

Went for lunch with our grandson. The halibut fish and chips were the best we have ever tasted. Clean but not fancy. Just good food with good service.

We had a coupon for this restaurant, from the hotel we stayed at, so we thought we would give it a try. It was like walking into a 50's diner. So quaint and cute....there were tables to sit at and the server came to take our order. They were super busy, but the food was beyond exceptional. We both ordered... More

These are the best fish and chips around. I had no raw batter on my fish ... that's a real turn-off ... the batter was crispy through out. Chips were great ... I love it that the potatoes are peeled. That's important to me. These are like old style English fish and chips. Don't expect anything else. The other most... More

The fish and the were greasy and certainly not the quality we are used to. Went back a month or so later for take out again and they were so busy that there was over a half hour wait! Obviously, they have a clientele.

My co-worker and I have started eating here somewhat regularly. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Fries could be cooked a little more... Really good fish. Very simple place, cafeteria style. Excellent service, very friendly people. The downstairs washroom is kind of annoying, I would probably give it a 4.5/5 One important feature of this restaurant is the... More

This is a family style mom&pop restaurant. The fish & chips are really good and cost is reasonable. You can eat in or take out.
