We are outside. It was December but it was 20 Celsius at lunch time. A nice view. A friendly service. Good honest food. A glorious day. We had a "parrilada de verduras" that could not have been better. We also had "morteruelo" which was ok. This is not a restaurant with a cheff but serves decent local food at affordable... More

At lunchtime we normally go for the Menu del Dia. But visited on a sweltering day and had already enjoyed some heavy meals. As a group we shared a variety of salads, grilled vegetables etc. Reasonable prices with large portions meant that the cost even with jugs of beer, water etc. was the same. Service was good

Worst morteruelo in Cuenca. Terrible service and food. I will not go back. Ordered the menu and they forgot to bring second dish. When it did arrive it was cold. Waiters and waitresses seemed more interested in smoking their cigarettes than in serving tables. Too many other good places in Cuenca to waste your time and money here.

Nothing special, we had there some tapas and beers. Service was correct as same as the price. If you want a place that you will not have any surprises (good or bad) this is the place.

We visited this bar several times. With each drink we received a nice tapa. The prices were good, a bottle of red wine was €5.50. Friendly and in a good spot at the top of the old town.

We visited for dinner on our first night staying nearby. The food was mainly Spanish. We ordered the typical local dishes including Morteruelo de Cuenca(game paté), Zarajos de cordero(Lamb’s intestines), Albondigas de ciervo(Venison meatballs). The food was well presented and tasty, but all the dishes were over salted a justified comment in that I like salt in and on my... More

On our second night in Cuenca we walked up past the castle to check out the restaurants in that part of town. We liked the menu at El Torreon and it appeared to be frequented by mostly locals. Since it isn't on the Plaza Mayor the prices were more reasonable. The service was good. We had a mixed salad and... More

During the evening we walked up from the main square to the top of the old town and enjoyed our evening sat in a traditional cafeteria there. The cafeteria was called El Torreon. We enjoyed a quick beer followed by Rioja crianza for a good few hours. As is tradition in this part of Spain every drink we purchased came... More

This is a lovely restaurant at the top of the hill in Cuenca. You have a great view of "las casa colgadas" (on the second floor) and very tasty and eclectic food.
