Lunch was ok and reasonably priced. Dinner was probably microwaved. My husband's fish was partially frozen, and my venison tasted more like pot roast. Our waiter was very nice and didn't charge us for one of the meals.

Lovely surroundings and nice modern style tastefully decorated restaurant. The service was very good but the food just average. I chose the lamb chops which were rather dry and served with a dozen chips, and a scattering of salad. When I asked for some sort of sauce I was told it would take some time to make so didn't bother.... More

My wife and I had the set menu for 20 euros each - three courses with bottles of wine and water. Great value, friendly service and we would happily recommend this restaurant. We ate in the main (upstairs) part at a table with a window overlooking a lit courtyard - very pleasant.

This small restaurant/bar is connected to Hotel Convento del Giraldo. Pleasant place with plexiglass over old ruins in the floor for a cool effect. Had a nice tapa dish of pork with goat cheese on toast with carmelized onions. Excellent...and nice house wine too.

We had lunch here on one of our 3 days in Cuenca. We ordered a bottle of dry white wine and 2 plates of food. The wine and 1 plate of food arrived and was good, however we waited and waited for the other plate which never arrived!! When we asked about it we were told we couldn't have it... More

There is a set menu at 20 euros which we considered but having eaten too much already we decided upon the snack menu. Portions were generous, the food was tasty and the prices economical.

We had a nice lunch yesterday we tried the winter menu which is excellent value, quality and presentation of the dishes. After some reviews we were a bit reluctant, but since we were at the hotel, it was cold and snowing, we decided to tried it, and we didn’t regret it. The service was also very friendly and professional and... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, I wish I had read the reviews first. The tapas we were given before our ordered food came were good. From then on it was all downhill. The salad was tired and looked as if it came from an old bag of mixed salad. The sauces were bland, the 'local' lamb I... More

Walking through the old town Cuenca makes you thirsty and tired. Looking into several establishment, finally discovered el Aljibe as one of the very best. Modern tranquil ambience, good service, and relatively clean.
