A delightful little cafe and bakery in the centre of Honningsvag that invites you to enjoy. We were warmly welcomed and served friendly and enjoyed the stay over coffee and croissants very much. Both the classic croissant and the almond croissant were very fine and fresh. The fresh bread and cinnamon rolls we had packed were also fresh and delicious - as long as we are up here we will be shopping for our sweet and salty baked goods here. But there are also crepes and savoury snacks that we will enjoy on our next visit. This enjoyable and cozy place we can heartily recommend.

The staff of the Hurtigruten recommended HonniBakes, and they were so right! It’s a challenge to get excited about a “bakery” at 9 in the morning, after the endless meal offerings on the cruise ship. This place offers the best pastries north of Copenhagen. Shockingly, as delicious as any Parisian delights. The flavors are delicious and the textures are divine. Such a wonderful find, in such a remote location. Usually, filling is what one gets in remote locations, not the best of the best!

we selected here as was close to where we stayed the night before. The location is quite hidden and close to the fishing boats so not a place you would casually walk past to find. The selection of sweets was diverse with many traditional Norwegian pastries and many international favourites like croissant, Portuguese tart and cinnamon scrolls. We chose the scone with chocolate, one bun with custard and blueberry topping, a cinnamon scroll and a plain bun that had raisin and cinnamon. The coffee was good as was the hot chocolate. All the food was good but as is Norway a little on the expensive side with everything costing €4/€5 each.

A stop at Honningsvåg out of curiosity, and a “greedy hunger” indicated on our guide sent us to Honni Bakes. Access via Sjøgata Street. The pleasure of two flans (excellent puff pastry), a tea, and the pleasure of an unexpected welcome (at closing time) in French, with anecdotes and exchanges that we will remember. THANKS.

Holy ****. We were touring Finnland and Scandinavia on a road trip with a little baby and have tasted cinnamon buns pretty much anywhere they looked somehow yummy… Honni Bakes deserves the unmatched spot as the BEST bakery we have found throughout Norway (and Finnland, and elsewhere). Even the best places in Oslo could not match it. I am unsure if there is a better cinnamon roll anywhere in the entire world. The guy running the place is truly remarkable and loves his profession, if you come by late and you are one of just few customers he will chat with you and give you an idea of life in Honnigvar and how the bakery went off. He was educated in France and you can tell by the taste of his excellent food. This is a MUST VISIT if you pass by. We also tried some other stuff like the croissants (!!!) and some sweet stuff, all excellent. Prices are, well, „Norwegian Standard“. ;)

A wonderful cafe to enjoy homemade pastries and chocolates. We visited 3 times during our stay in Honningsvåg. The fact that all the pastries and chocolates were produced on site, just made it extra special. The chocolates that I took home as gifts were lovingly enjoyed by my family.

If you ever find your self in Honningsvag, North Norway then this is place to go for coffee and cakes. In the tourist season they also do gallets and crepes. The host and hostess are friendly and welcoming and very helpful ( I was in a wheelchair and nothing was too The coffee was good and the cinnamon bun and almond croissant wonderful. All this seems to be baked on the premises and he could be seen preparing more food in the back room. He has also branched out into homemade chocolates recently and the one I tried was smooth and flavourful.

This bakery is not far from the cruise dock and we knew we had found a great place when some crew from our ship arrived. We ordered coffees and a Skolebolle, which was an enormous danish pastry type thing! Coffees and cake were excellent, the cake was so big, we shared it. Not expensive, about £15. Definitely worth it. Lovely staff, I was offered the WiFi code before I had chance to ask. Recommended

The barista/owner was friendly; brought a smile to my face seeing him interact with customers. We enjoyed cups of coffee - and a scone and cake while sitting outside enjoying the warm sun. The menu included pastries, and crepes.

A brilliant little bakery on the waterfront, run by a very friendly man. It was lovely chatting with him and hearing his story of how his little bakery was founded. We were shocked when we found out he bakes everything himself- a very gifted baker! We tried a few pastry’s but my favourite was the pistachio croissant, absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend a visit! The cherry on the top was how delicious it smelt in there!

We visited this coffee place on our holiday. Terrible customer service from the owner. We were the only ones inside. He didn’t come to take our orders even thought he saw us waiting there. When regulars came in he came instantly and took their order without even looking at us. Regulars just pushed us away from the desk. We told him straightaway what he did was rude. His only answer was that he can do whatever he wants. Extremely rude and incomprehensible. I would give this experience 0/5. 100% don’t recommend.

In my visit to the north I came across this lovely bakery with amazing homemade croissants, sandwiches and walnut bread. It really made my day. Don't miss it!! You might not see much in the vitrines but just ask!

The best bakery in town. The baked goods were delicious and handmade in the bakery. If you are visiting Honningsvåg you should try this bakery out.

We were only in town for a couple of days but as soon as I saw this place I had to check it out as independent bakeries are few and far between up north. I wasn’t disappointed. Over several visits we tried a couple of pastries, a lemon tart and a loaf of bread. All were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Easily accessible from the port so be sure to visit when stopping on your cruise. Indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious lattes and pastries.
