Had a very pleasant coffee here a few days ago - a beautiful Melbourne morning (yes, we have them!) beside the Yarra River. The cafe has a great selection of delicious breakfast items at reasonable prices and the service is very friendly. But you cannot beat the location and the coffee. Just be aware that around 11am a swarm of... More

The Studley Park Boathouse is by the river, it's a great place to hang out. You can hire a boat or a canoe and go boating on the river. The food is good, honest food that will fuel your activities. By the way, the Studley Park Boathouse Cafe is on a side road. It is not easy to get to... More

I'm wondering if some of the poor reviews are actually of the kiosk, not the cafe? I lunched with friends at the Cafe and it was delightful. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, ensuring we had a table on the balcony overlooking the river. The Express Lunch looked like great value, but we ordered a la carte.... More

On the positive side, great location and good service but it all goes bad from there. Took friends there for lunch, all our salads consisted of a few sad leaves and no tomato, onion or anything else. The toasties had burnt edges and my hamburger had small bones in it !!!! I reported this and was told the manager would... More

This would be another sure-it's-OK-but-life's-too-short venue but for that fact that the location is a knockout. So bring the crew for easy walks, river fun, family sports and by all means, if you forget to bring a snag for the barbie pop into the boathouse for fuel.

Studley Park Boathouse Cafe is a great destination for a light lunch or coffee and a snack on a good Melbourne day. It is tucked away in a tranquil spot with an outdoor seating area overlooking the river with ducks and row boats for hire. There is a restaurant/function area upstairs but we only utilised the kiosk menu which had... More

We regularly visit Studley Park. A hidden gem tucked away in lovely bushland and only15 minutes to the city. I have to say though our experience having lunch at the kiosk recently was upsetting! I had ordered pumpkin soup which was quite nice, but on finishing, found a large piece of plastic in my mouth. This certainly would have had... More

My hubby, toddler and I enjoyed the beautiful weather on Tuesday by walking the trails near the Boathouse, so worked up an appetite for a late lunch. We had to carry the pram up about 16 steps so we could go to the cafe, but we are so glad that we did. We ordered the oarsmans platter and it was... More

The view and weather was perfect! Makes for a perfect lazy chill Sunday. Food was pretty good, although not spectacular in my opinion. Dessert (I had sticky date) was quite boring. The butterscotch sauce looked like it was just a frosting on top of the cake so I had to ask them to warm it up more to make it... More

Lovely setting along the Yarra with a choice of inside or on the deck to sit if you are lucky enough to get a table so just before 12noon or after 2pm to arrive would be best to get a table over looking the Yarra the ducks and the boats. We thought 2 main meals and one beer and one... More
